Mindvalley

Mindvalley is not worth your money

I hate Mindvalley. The truth about Mindvalley came out when I went through their website, and that is when I decided to get the free trial version of the program.

It was a 7-day free trial(cult) program. I hate Mindvalley. Vishen Lakhiani and Silva Method both are scams and fraud.

I was sure I would take off the subscription before the trial period ended and decided to do that one day before the subscription ended.

However, they did ask me to enter my credit card details, which I did.

In those seven days, I did not get time to check anything on the website.

I was too busy with my work and everything, that I realized that even if I paid for the subscription, I would hardly get any time to use the program.

Hence, I tried to cancel the subscription.

Their website has no clear path to cancel the subscription.

I went through many problems while figuring out how to cancel the subscription.

Finally, I could discontinue the subscription, working for more than half an hour to find that option on their website.

Later, after a week, I received a message that my credit card was charged $99.99.

I was subscribed for the entire year. I did not get it. I never made that decision.

And I successfully canceled the subscription by getting into auto-renew.

So, I tried to reach these people—however, no luck. So, I used it for a month before asking for a refund.

I thought that if the programs were beneficial, I might learn something. And, if that is the case, I won’t unsubscribe it anyway.

They have a 30 days refund policy. I hate Mindvalley.

I am unsure if these guys have anything significant on their website, as I never got a chance to look at any course or details of the studies.

Over time, I tried to check their events and other things happening in the city.

But I was not able to make it. I am no good at creating space for more things in my life. So, it was almost 20 days that I realized that the money was getting wasted.

I emailed them that I needed a refund as I could not use the service.

I never got an email back. Almost seven days after the email, I had not received any reply.

So, I sent another email, and after two days, I replied that I needed to send the email on another email id meant for refund queries.

For one week, I was waiting for a reply. I did as the email asked me to do.

However, I again did not get any response. I had a chance to connect with one of the employees of Mindvalley.

Through their chat support, I was finally able to talk to someone.

This guy was named Tim this time, and I am unsure if it was his real name or a made-up one.

But he told me that there was no email on that email address that I sent. I confirmed the email address, and it was correct.

I had that in my emails and knew it had reached the support team.

But they were not able to find it. It was not my mistake. And, the 30 days period was almost over.

So, this guy told me that I would not get my money back.

This was the last time I spoke to someone from the support team.

Later, my chats were disconnected or not replied to. I started sending them emails, and I believe my email was also barred.

The guy who spoke with me on the chat also suggested using the other paid courses.

I mean, this is ridiculous. I am not interested in your services or offerings.

I have got better things to take care of in my life. I am not free.

I have no time for these courses or anything else they offer.

I told the same thing to these guys, and Tim ignored every request. These people are so impossible to deal with.

I need no more reasons to call these guys cheaters.

Because they are, they have been cheating people.

Their free trial is bait for getting into users’ accounts. I have been trying hard to get my refund back.

I have all the proofs that I mailed them the request.

However, these guys are reluctant and say they cannot do so.

After 30 days, when I sent them a reminder for a refund through an email, they received it very well.

They replied, saying that the refund timelines had crossed.

How could they receive the email and not receive it within the timeline? Doesn’t that sound like a trap? It did to me.

I have sent them many reminders telling them that I did not select the subscription and they had done it by mistake.

I have proof that I have not used their free or paid courses.

But these guys are so dumb or acting like ones. The website is full of crap.

Their entire interface is to make people fall into their shit.

I am unsure if they would still charge for my subscription once the entire year is over, even when I would cancel it.

I have hence, requested my bank for another credit card.

I cannot give these scammers any other chance to scam me anymore.

These people must be put behind bars for scamming others online.

  1. Renewed subscription without notification

I took out an annual subscription for MindValley in April 2020 for $399. I’ve just been billed for an automatic renewal of this subscription at a far higher rate of $598 and without my authority or authorisation. I’ve checked all mailboxes and there was definitely no email notification beforehand. Is this even legal?? I never agreed to this and am now being fobbed off by their customer support team with standard cut and paste responses which don’t answer the question and are all aimed at avoiding refunding. This strikes me as lacking any kind of transparency and being fairly shady behaviour.

  2. Scammed my mom

My mom cancelled her MindValley subscription a year ago and they just charged her $500 again for this year even though she cancelled A YEAR AGO!! They are disgusting scammers. I told her Mindvalley was a bunch of pseudoscience guru BS from the start. $500 for some crappy pre recorded “classes” is ridiculous. You can find more helpful things on YouTube and in podcasts. Don’t give these people your money.

  3. Beware of auto renewal - They wont Refund $500 us dollar

Beware of auto-renewal – and difficulties in reaching anyone. They hide behind messenger and WhatsApp – with automatic reply

  4. This review is bonkers.

The first review above is absolutely bonkers. It’s a litany of woe about contacting customer service because they forgot to cancel after their free trial ended. Not one thing has been written about the offering of Mindvalley. It’s just one long whinge.

  5. Scam

Yes, I also took the liberty to try their site and paid $499 for the year and could cancel in 15 days. I searched their area and was not really impressed with it, so I canceled.

I canceled but later on realized it was not reimbursed to my account. I called which finding a phone number wasn’t easy.

I spoke to someone at customer service, and they said I canceled, but I’m also supposed to hit some button after canceling for a refund.

I don’t know if the refund button appeared or not, but if it did, I’m sure I would’ve hit refund. So he told me they would not refund me even though it shows I canceled.

They are all about taking people’s money. I don’t trust them at all. It’s bad when companies like this still assist and feed off people to exist.

  6. Mindvalley has truly AWESomE programs worth every penny. If you don’t want to spend money, don’t enter your credit card information – ever.

Read the fine print before signing up for stuff, and don’t call things a “scam” if you do not know what is being sold?

I took free courses for months – with no charges – before deciding Mindvalley was worth diving deeper into.

I bought a subscription and have been thrilled by the quality of every program I’ve completed. It’s truly worth every penny! I took free courses for months – with no charges – before deciding Mindvalley was worth diving deeper into.

This “customer” didn’t even check out the agenda. It’s their fault they got nothing for their money spent – Not Mindvalley’s.

  7. A waste of time and money

TLDR; Do not use mind valley. Use free alternatives like YouTube that have thousands of hours of helpful content. The ring you dry of money; they tell you that if you’ve failed, they’ve got another course to teach you to do better! Use free alternatives like YouTube that have thousands of hours of helpful content.

At the beginning of lockdown, my relative was looking for something to do when they discovered a mind valley reading course, the service offering online calls to talk face to face with instructors. Though at first seeming harmless, these lessons became longer and more frequent to the point they were staying up late into the night. My relative became irritable when their calls were interrupted or delayed.

Thousands of pounds went missing from a savings fund they share with their spouse, which they say was spent on mind valley courses and membership fees. They would go on about how cheap it was, how it was a long-term investment, and how they would get back on their feet after past troubles using the provided resources.

After being questioned on how they lost money on a so-called “Free course,” they realized how little they had achieved for so much less. I am still unaware if they have completely withdrawn from the website due to how much they have kept from us and how withdrawn they have become.

I find it suspicious that the positive reviews here all sing the same praises “Mind valley isn’t a scam. You just didn’t work hard enough!” or “It hurts me that these people think mind valley is a scam….” It’s amazing how cruel people will be for another penny in their pocket.

  8. Meditation happens!

I heard the free masterclass and it was very interesting. However, for me meditation is a ‘happening’ and is a benediction from the DIVINE. No guided principle or person can reach you there. And when the meditation happens the GUIDANCE can come naturally.

  9. Reference to Joe Dispenza is misleading

Your review about Joe Dispenza is misleading. Far from BS, it requires work. Looking for quick fixes will not bring results. What Joe Dispenza talks about is the results of doing deep inner work.

If you are not prepared to get out of your own way and put in the work, then you will pre-ordain your own expectations and call it BS.

The reality is that is BS expectations. The research is there with Joe Dispenza at UC SD being peer-reviewed by Bond University. Regarding Bruce Lipton, what he postulated appears to be now proven. But it seems he had enough of the pharma profit emphasis rather than the public health emphasis.

People look for quick fixes, and pharm is only serving what people want. The reality is that many people would do anything rather than have an open mind to change not only their diet but their emotional history.

    1. I am a fan of mindvally… I am willing to listen with an open mind and apply what resonates with me… you have to be a proactive individual who can digest the deep level of content. It is probably not for everyone. However, it speaks to me.

I can understand people’s misperception of Vishen; however, I find him real, honest, and just trying to elevate on a soul level.

It is hard for soul sleepers to connect with enlightenment, and growth because they are in a conceptualizing prison focused on the negative.

The good news is we can wake from that soul sleep at any point:)

  10. Excellent personal growth company

I have been a subscriber with Mindvalley since early 2014 and have never had the problems that I read about with the person that lost $100. USD. I am located in Canada and have taken dozens of courses with very competent teachers. There are so many options to choose from there has to be something for everyone. However, that person said they were wanting something free, and then didnt even give it a shot by looking through the courses, never mind enroling in one. I have never found it difficult to contact this company, and have had a very good experience. The company has grown exponentially over that time and thousands of subscribers agree with me. Please experience it yourself before making up your mind!

  11. Stay away

Stay away! Just another “spiritual” site who cares only for your money… and also knows how to get it and keep it as well!

I signed up for one of Mindvalley’s programs after getting repeatedly promised that I have two weeks to see if it works for me.

*After* I signed up, the *earliest* starting date that Mindvalley offered me was *one week later*.
In more than one but less than two weeks after the program’s start, I decided that it isn’t for me and wanted to cancel it but I couldn’t get a refund, no matter that I was promised two weeks of trying the program out.
(Mind you, it turned out that the first week was introductory and we didn’t even get into the actual program during it.)

Also, we are talking about 370 dollars… which I saw flying away on something I was promised I could refund after trying it out.

If you are wondering, I did manage to contact the support. All they did was sending me their love and heartfelt new-age wishes. No, really. They did.

Again, stay away from Mindvalley. Just “spiritual” vultures.

  12. Mind Valley has more employees covering bad reviews than they do in customer support

It’s obvious most of the “GOOD” reviews here have been posted by paid employees of Mind Valley.

The primary business of Mind Valley is to take money, deliver the same content that is available free on YouTube then deny any refund based on a 15-day refund policy. That 15-day refund was added after I purchased the Silva Method for which the original sales video clearly stated, “full refund at any time”.

The app is garbage and the “course” is set to start on certain days as if you’re actually in a classroom. The “course” consists of watching videos. It’s not a classroom setting by any stretch. Because my class started days after I purchased, this was already eating into that 15-day refund period. Hardly fair.

Mind Valley has refused to refund me even though it took several days for them to reply to my multiple requests for a refund. (Another tactic to run out the 15-day refund rule.)

I’m am disputing with my credit card payment. I will prevail and continue to spread the word of the rip off that Mind Valley is.

    1. Excellent personal growth company

I resent reading that the people that have had a good experience with Mindvalley (in my case for 7 years) MUST WORK FOR MINDVALLEY!!!
I live in Canada, and have not now nor have I ever had a connection with this company!!!
Kindly give your own review, but do not include me in any of your bad taste
      and /or bad reviews!!

  13. Mindvalley is definitely not a scam

It hurts me to read that Mindvalley is a scam. This company and community changed my life. For sure they have their flows in the customer experience but who doesn’t.

The quality of the courses, the rapid innovations never stop impressing me.

If you want to commit to growth and a new way of life, I would totally recommend Mindvalley.

    1. Note that Vissen is American yet prefers to operate outside of the US. Note that Vissen is American yet prefers to work outside of the US.

No doubt the people we meet there can be wonderful, but it truly is a marketing scam. Note that Vissen is American yet prefers to operate outside of the US.

Every foremost high-cost presenter lives in a remote area and pulls in high dollars for old videos. Lifebook starts at $600, and then they want over $300 for the next course.

I didn’t ask for a refund, but I’m done parting with my hard-earned money so Jon and Missy can live on an island and import organic beef. Yes, many of the people you meet are great, but that doesn’t keep it from being a marketing scam.

  14. Mindvalley is a Money trap

At the beginning it felt like these are a genuine group of people here to help, and make a change in this world. The sign for me was –
They offer the money back at the end of the Lifebook course you take.

Little did I know, that in order to complete the course – you have to complete hours on hours of study that goes on and on [and can be given in minutes instead], without any clear messages about where this is going, and how to follow through at the end.

On the same time, you are being bombarded with marketing e-mails promising you millions of promises.

Unless you are really on top of things, you get lost.
The more you get in there, you realize that you are being led into a sophisticated marketing machine that will not really pay you back, rather – try to convince you to get more “free” products – ignoring the fact that you paid 500$ for the same spiritual and self-development content that you can get for free on other platforms.

I just asked to have more time to complete the course, due to Corona effects on my family, keeping me from finalizing the course on time.

Once all the e-mails received back from Pravina, the ‘support’ team, where only screenshots of small letters of conditions I missed, I realized –

These guys are only in it for the money.

I would recommend teachers you can find on the free Insight timer app,
you can feel they are really there to help you, and you can donate without the sophisticated marketing trap system.

  15. Don't register for the trial, they'll scam your money!

If you made the mistake of registering for their trial, then you have to contact your back and cancel your card.

Even if you canceled your trail, they’ll still charge you for the year, and they won’t answer you till the 30 days refund policy is over. Don’t waste your money. The course itself is one big fat lie!
