Mindvalley

Mindvalley is not worth your money

I hate Mindvalley. The truth about Mindvalley came out when I went through their website, and that is when I decided to get the free trial version of the program.

It was a 7-day free trial(cult) program. I hate Mindvalley. Vishen Lakhiani and Silva Method both are scams and fraud.

I was sure I would take off the subscription before the trial period ended and decided to do that one day before the subscription ended.

However, they did ask me to enter my credit card details, which I did.

In those seven days, I did not get time to check anything on the website.

I was too busy with my work and everything, that I realized that even if I paid for the subscription, I would hardly get any time to use the program.

Hence, I tried to cancel the subscription.

Their website has no clear path to cancel the subscription.

I went through many problems while figuring out how to cancel the subscription.

Finally, I could discontinue the subscription, working for more than half an hour to find that option on their website.

Later, after a week, I received a message that my credit card was charged $99.99.

I was subscribed for the entire year. I did not get it. I never made that decision.

And I successfully canceled the subscription by getting into auto-renew.

So, I tried to reach these people—however, no luck. So, I used it for a month before asking for a refund.

I thought that if the programs were beneficial, I might learn something. And, if that is the case, I won’t unsubscribe it anyway.

They have a 30 days refund policy. I hate Mindvalley.

I am unsure if these guys have anything significant on their website, as I never got a chance to look at any course or details of the studies.

Over time, I tried to check their events and other things happening in the city.

But I was not able to make it. I am no good at creating space for more things in my life. So, it was almost 20 days that I realized that the money was getting wasted.

I emailed them that I needed a refund as I could not use the service.

I never got an email back. Almost seven days after the email, I had not received any reply.

So, I sent another email, and after two days, I replied that I needed to send the email on another email id meant for refund queries.

For one week, I was waiting for a reply. I did as the email asked me to do.

However, I again did not get any response. I had a chance to connect with one of the employees of Mindvalley.

Through their chat support, I was finally able to talk to someone.

This guy was named Tim this time, and I am unsure if it was his real name or a made-up one.

But he told me that there was no email on that email address that I sent. I confirmed the email address, and it was correct.

I had that in my emails and knew it had reached the support team.

But they were not able to find it. It was not my mistake. And, the 30 days period was almost over.

So, this guy told me that I would not get my money back.

This was the last time I spoke to someone from the support team.

Later, my chats were disconnected or not replied to. I started sending them emails, and I believe my email was also barred.

The guy who spoke with me on the chat also suggested using the other paid courses.

I mean, this is ridiculous. I am not interested in your services or offerings.

I have got better things to take care of in my life. I am not free.

I have no time for these courses or anything else they offer.

I told the same thing to these guys, and Tim ignored every request. These people are so impossible to deal with.

I need no more reasons to call these guys cheaters.

Because they are, they have been cheating people.

Their free trial is bait for getting into users’ accounts. I have been trying hard to get my refund back.

I have all the proofs that I mailed them the request.

However, these guys are reluctant and say they cannot do so.

After 30 days, when I sent them a reminder for a refund through an email, they received it very well.

They replied, saying that the refund timelines had crossed.

How could they receive the email and not receive it within the timeline? Doesn’t that sound like a trap? It did to me.

I have sent them many reminders telling them that I did not select the subscription and they had done it by mistake.

I have proof that I have not used their free or paid courses.

But these guys are so dumb or acting like ones. The website is full of crap.

Their entire interface is to make people fall into their shit.

I am unsure if they would still charge for my subscription once the entire year is over, even when I would cancel it.

I have hence, requested my bank for another credit card.

I cannot give these scammers any other chance to scam me anymore.

These people must be put behind bars for scamming others online.

  1. Annoyning ads for another bullshit-priest

Obviously bullshit in the line of Joe Dispenza, Bruce Lipton, Deepak Chopra.
Absolutely useless rip off. Stay away from it, it will do you more harm than good.

  2. All about the $$ Good Luck getting a refund.

MindValley refuses to honor my auto renewal subscription cancelation and refund my $595 for a course that I haven’t had time to use in almost a year. They deducted the money from my account a day early and I canceled immediately on the renewal date and they are refusing to do the right thing. Shame on you MindValley. I thought you genuinely cared about your long time customers. I was wrong. You are all about the $$.

  3. Forced sales pitches. Misleading.

Very misleading. Forced sales pitches. You can’t fast forward, rewind or see how LONG the ‘classes’ are. Very frustrating. That’s because they are forced sales pitches. NOT what I thought I was buying into. The layout is SUPER confusing. courses, interviews, podcasts, mentorships, classes, events, all of them with being present on required days and times.

    1. more Negativity from Matthew Rupp, what a surprise. Covert Narc

Mindvalley seems to be a decent company but watches the fine print. Some people come on here just to complain. Same as with the online forums they belong to. Seeing the same patterns here.

  4. Silva method program of Mind valley

I signed up for the Silva method program of mind valley. It was about 360 dollars. Well… It was copy paste of Silva s method and actually there was some missing parts…. the guy on the audio records LITERALLY REPEATED everything from Silva s mp3 cds.. almost word by word. Once i asked in the community that if there are any expanded research/practice added to the program which is worth 300 + dollar because i got the Silva method cd s for 70 bucks, well they deleted my comment and blocked my account from interacting with the community.
Another info: Vishen talks about meditation like how to meditate why we do this why we do that, well thats all UTTER nonsense. As a Taoist master, i highly recommend to everyone not to take advises from this guy because it is strongly misleading!

    1. Yup it's not worth $300+

You are definitely right.origunal Silva method Audiobooks from Jose Silva’s daughter Laura Silva are pretty much better than Mindvalley, also courses from Jose silva jr and Ed Brnd jr Silva Ultramind programs are awesome as well ,they might be cheaper than Mindvalley courses comparatively

  5. Would have been better if you'd been able to take a course or two.

This review would have been better if you’d been able to try some courses. I’ve taken three of them and never had a problem. Regarding the billing thing: like all companies, probably depends on what customer service person you reach, time of day, etc.

Regarding the classes, think of it like school: 60% of what you learn won’t be used past the end of the class. The courses have been helpful, and I’ve gotten useful things from them that I continue to use. One class isn’t going to change your life, but trying new things will. The classes get you to think about different things, and to try thinking differently.

They give stories to relate to, and the free 1.5 hr free masterclasses are FREE. They give a taste of the course, introduce the teacher, their story, and then give you some pieces of info you may find useful. If that doesn’t fit what you’re going for then that class probably isn’t for you.

  6. Your fault

So you didn’t try anything, decided to ‘wait a month’ to get a refund, and then complained when you couldn’t? How entitled are you? This is ridiculous.

Anyone who says Mindvalley is a scam was likely trying to scam Mindvalley by doing things like getting a free month and then complaining that they couldn’t get their refund.

All rules about refunds and other things are laid out clear as day. Just be a decent a human being and follow the rules.

    1. Mindvalley Scam - Paid reviews

Mindvalley hires reviewers to ‘clean up’ negative reviews. Absolutely clear here – Some one star reviews actually criticising the complaints and defending Mindvalley.

There are companies that actually do care about the consumers well being. You’ll learn the make it really easy to opt out or refund if you genuinely did not learn anything. And they can because the product they sell you isn’t a ‘digital consumable’. That means you can sell the product infinity times. Not like a T-shirt that reduces inventory.

      Mindvalley is a scam.

The reviewers here defending Mindvalley are paid.

    2. Amen!

Be kind to yourself and stop buying your own victim story… there are rules and procedures… just follow them.

  7. Not a Scam in the least bit.

I have personally used multiple programs through Mindvalley and can attest that if you set proper expectations and make the proper life changes that come from the opportunity you provide yourself…success will be had.

It is very challenging in some of these programs and as it should be. If these areas in life were easy no one would need any guidance or much less guidance to educate themselves properly to do them.

    my .02

  8. disgusting lying adverts

sat through an advert offering free master class this guy vishen lakhiani repeating the same stuff in the advert for an hour at least telling boring naieve stories of success stories over and talking about incidents in his life that none of us give a fk about this naieve man is driving people away and by the time it got to the 4 points at the end i was too angry to even listen to any of it this idiot thinks that quantity is better than quality (cheap mindset) if he had spent ten minutes talking about his stories and got straight into it instead of actually treating us like kids thinking we were INTERESTED in his life story over and over again i may have been interested but now i know that is just lots of quantity (meaningless words before it leads anywhere) i will never spend a penny with them i guess it goes back to the old saying of talking yourself out of a sale after you could have sold it he is the owner so nobody could stop him boring us making himself the video maker lolol i know a clever sales man would have known how to pitch it properly i myself would have been able to sell the program since iv always been a sales queen

    1. Poor spelling and grammar summarizes it all...

      Jane,

With all of your run-on sentences, lack of grammatical markings, atrocious spelling errors, and use of SMS abbreviations in a written “report” that is meant to inform users of potential scams, this “report” of yours seems like the biggest scam overall.

The only thing that I see when I read this is a troll who hasn’t bothered to look at any of the actual materials offered by MindValley, and just go off on a tirade, spouting baseless facts and opinions with anti-grammatical lunacy and idiocy.

  9. Unfair assumption without trying out the course

That is purely an unfair assumption about the courses when you clearly stated you did not go through the free material. I downloaded 7 of their materials online, some worked for me some just couldnt keep up. But the quality was definitely there in all their workshop. Also you need a lot of time and an open mind to practise these courses. You cannot train your mind in 7 days, neither can you read a book super fast like Jim Kwik says and some of the concepts may sound a bit like pseudo science. You need to constantly upgrade your skills and keep an open mind, it might work for some and not work for others. Only disadvantage, they are costly and some of their material are available and better explained free by motivational experts.

    1. Why I chose to leverage Technology to save money

This comment is supposed to be wither sharing an experience or leaving a tip. I am gonna leave a tip. Courses are of at least $500 each at MindValley. And, it is highly likely, whenever you signup with your bank card (credit/debit) details, that either you miss the chance to cancel the subscription or the organisation plays some tricks to NOT TO GIVE you your money back. So, being enthusiastic for the personal development, I searched if those course are available for free, even if it violates the copyright ©️. I’d suggest the same to you if you value your money more compared to the justification to the creators and their copyright.

Well, sources are there such as T-O-R*REN*T SITES AND ‘????Gram’ Channels.

  10. Mindvalley is not a scam

I’ve been working on several courses through Mindvalley – it’s not a scam, at all. I had a few snags with billing that were sorted immediately. The content is thought-provoking and encourages self-awareness and a greater understanding of a broad range of ‘soft skills’, which (as a professional life coach) I’ve been able to develop and apply.
It’s not for everyone and requires a willingness to put aside entrenched thinking and choose to think differently and with an open-mind.
I’d recommend it, but with a caveat that you only get out of it what you’re willing to put in.
    DEFINITELY not a scam.

  11. I didn't try but I don't like it...

How can you tell something is not worth it when you didn’t try it???

I get, and respect, your frustration so make it about their customer services, at least. It felt unfair and really did not help…

  12. Sorry I gave one star to the person writing these reviews. 5 stars to Mind Valley.

It IS IMPORTANT to have realistic expectations of things and to know what YOU need as a person.

If you are looking for good information or a positive community to network with, then Mindvalley is great!

    1. Scammers

I’m sure you work with MindValley or know the people who do. In any case I believe the victims that wrote these reviews. SCAMMERS SCAMMERS SCAMMERS! SCAMMERS!!!

  13. Sounds like a personal problem...

You were to busy and chose not make any time to use a great service.

I have bought and used a class from Mindvalley. It was great.

I also bought a class and returned nearly two weeks later because I didn’t have time. Got a full Refund.

If you can’t commit, just take the free masterclasses they offer (which offer great information but of course is just one free class as a part of a paid program)

Or just go on their social Media and enjoy the community for free.

  14. Mindvalley Jim Kwik Review + Lifebook + Superbrain

This review is for Mindvalley Jim Kwik super brain and lifebook. All these stuff are really none of use in real life. They are just a motivation speaker rather than the trainer. One should not pay that much on motivation speech. Robinson is best if you are after motivations speech. Jim Kwik’s super brain is fuss and so lifebook

    1. Mindvalley is phenomenal

I love Mindvalley is not a scam. I totally agree with the replay with which Julie had a problem.

Commit, put the time in, work the quests, your life or you will be positively changed.

I jump on and get annual subscriptions every couple years or so… sometimes several in a row.

It’s an investment in yourself. It’s under $2 a day. We have no problem spending 3 times that amount on a coffee, on premium TV channels that tune us into zombies and lead us to live disconnected lives.

      It’s not a scam.

  15. Scam - problems with billing, refunds, and quality of workshop

I signed up for a couple of programs and once I realized how ridiculous they were, I cancelled within less than 3 days. I couldn’t get anyone to answer their phone. Email didn’t work. What a nightmare! They made mistake after mistake after mistake. Some of the content of some of these workshops is bullshit. It caused me a lot of grief dealing with a company that says “superior support” and have the worst possible support. If the company would be based in the United States, Vishen could never get away with this. But because he and his company is based in Malaysia, well, anything goes. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Save your money, time and avoid frustration. There are plenty of excellent spiritual education sites on the internet that are more trustworthy.
