Wyndham Capital Mortgage

Waste of Time

I have to provide my input on Wyndham Capital Mortgage. I was receiving harassing emails from Emma Wohl.

I decided to submit a application. I submitted the application and never heard back anything.

Even if everything wasn’t looking too good perform customer service to tell me what I need to do in order to get a loan damn it is not that hard.

She found the time to constantly email me to submit an application everyday then after I heard both else.

A waste of my time

  1. I was very satisfied with my experience.

I was very satisfied with my experience. The loan closed just a few days after the estimated closing date. Very professional, nice to work with a company that knows there stuff and has integrity.

  2. I got a competitive rate with a great deal on closing and they got this processed fast.

I got a competitive rate with a great deal on closing and they got this processed fast. It seems they got crazy when I added cash to my account a few days before closing but we got it worked out.

They look for solutions to speed up the process and do not throw out too many roadblocks. My loan compared to other peoples experiences was lightning fast and their online portal helped expedite.

  3. Initially the Loan officer Kent started the loan process very positively.

Initially the Loan officer Kent started the loan process very positively. Actually till the property appraisal has been done they were running after me. However after appraisal came with higher value than what i mentioned in the application they started delaying the process.

Simply they are asking unnecessary documents and also they did some typo mistakes in the application , when i sent several emails regarding the errors to Dan he said i dont have to worry about them and asked me simply to sign them electronically.

unless i call them several times over phone , i am not getting any response from them. now they are warning me that if i delay response, the rate lock will expire.

  4. We got an excellent rate but to took several months to refinance.

Joe Brown was excellent and worked with me to iron all of the several difficulties I encountered. The loan should have closed quickly. The loan was about 30% of appraised value. Our credit rating is excellent. Our income is much higher than what was required.

I sent all documents asked for on the original submission. I kept receiving additional requests which I always responded to within 24 hours. Our neighbor was also refinancing with a bank and closed in less than 30 days without frivolous requests. We got an excellent rate but to took several months to refinance.

  5. I had a terrible experience with Wyndham Capital via the Costco mortgage program.

Their initial offer came in worse than the offer from Westar. I asked the loan officer at Wyndham Capital whether he would match the offer and I had trusted them because they agreed to match the lender rebate. He told me he got a “pricing exception” for me.

Wyndham Capital then did a bait and switch on me to get me to move forward. The appraiser they used which appeared to be an affiliated company appraised my property much lower than the market value – almost 15% lower – and said they had to revert back to to the initial first offer which had a lender rebate less than half of what they got an “exception” for.

Needless to say, they wasted 2 months of my time. It is a shame that Costco works with Wyndham Capital. It is clear to me they never got a “pricing exception” because they sent me the exact same offer as their initial pricing after the appraisal came back.

  6. Stay away!

Ugh! These guys are horrible! I believe they are a scam designed to get $400 appraisal out of the unsuspecting customer — whether or not they give that customer a loan. They are agonizingly slow, and when the rates go up and you are still playing footsie with them, they then try new tricks:

We need more docs, more pay stubs, new mortgage payment stubs, make some repairs to your place, oh look now we found a lien on your property (btw: the lien was utterly false!). Stay away!

  7. Guess we got the wrong mortgage banker.

Guess we got the wrong mortgage banker. It took OVER 2-1/2 MONTHS to get our refinance done. Thank goodness we finally got a manager to look it over and get it through.

One of the most stressful and frustrating experiences we have ever had! Would definitely not recommend. Friendly staff, but unless you get the right person it will not be an easy or smooth process.

  8. Don't deal with these people.

Don’t deal with these people. It is a scam! Mr. Beacus is a top notch scammer and belongs with this company.

  9. NOT recommended.

SSSSSOOOOO not pleased with this company. We decided to use them after carefully weighing the pros and cons of other companies. I wish we would have used someone else. After an extremely long time, we were told that our refi could not go through because of some poppycock information that they had from the beginning.

We lost out on lower rates, the cost of the appraisals (other mortgage companies won’t accept them), and other costs associated with our VA loan.

If you are examining companies, ensure that you go with a company that has the wherewithall to work with the military and a top notch staff that knows what they are doing. This is our first refi, but how many times can you ask for the same information. NOT recommended.

  10. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - Don't waste your time!!!!

I had the WORST experience ever with Whydham Capital and specifically Dennis McCoy. STAY AWAY AND BEWARE unless you are a PERFECT client – which you should then go to the local bank. At first Dennis was so nice and welcoming ……..that was until he realized it wasn’t a perfect file. I guess 95% perfect doesn’t work.

He never got back to us, when we called for his manager his manager never contacted us, even the new assistant didn’t call us back. RUN and RUN FAR from Dennis McCoy and Whyndham Capital.

AFter 8 weeks of us waiting for answers he came back with lame excuses and things needed in our file that we had already given him. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE – Don’t waste your time!!!!

  11. Not to say yes we can do it or no we cannot.

Received an email asking whether I was interested in a re-fi quote. I replied and received a follow up email almost instantly from Drew who introduced me to his manager Matt. I also received an immediate response from Matt. After sending them all the information they requested I never heard back from either of them.

Not to say yes we can do it or no we cannot. I find that every unprofessional in view of the fact that they contacted me first. If they weren’t interested then do not send out emails for information. That all began on August 20th. No response as of yet. I’m giving up !!!!

  12. Not about the customer but only about making the sale.

I applied for a cash out refinance recently with Wyndham Capital. The loan did not go through because the title was for a single family home but a portion of the home was rented out. This was not a big deal to me. What struck me was that after this, the agent did not respond to me anymore after I decided politely not to go through with an appraisal.

I was told they were not sure if it would go through because of the title clause even after an appraisal was paid for. I figure they couldn’t help me so why waste any time to write or call me back.

After this experience I would not recommend Wyndham Capital mortgage to anyone. I feel that the person I dealt with was out of touch with the human aspect of business. Not about the customer but only about making the sale.

  13. i am filling complain and want my $425.00 back.

I wished i read all this complains about this company it is true they asked for every detail and took them 3 mounts i told them up front i don want appraisal done before i know if i get qualify they said everything is fine just need appraisal so it cost me $425.00 and after that thy ask for missing pages and finally they said i am under 45% and not qualify .

please don’t go to them i am not even sure if my personal information is safe with them .i am filling complain and want my $425.00 back.

  14. This company is completely unethical in their lending practices.

HORRIBLE company! They had me jumping through so many hoops weekly, if not daily. I did everything they asked of me and met every single requirement and then they had the audacity to deny my loan after 8 months for something so petty and “mickey mouse”. This company is completely unethical in their lending practices.

  15. Scammer

I was going to refinance my home with Quicken loans but Wyndham capital called me and offered a lower interest rate. The sales guy (Donny Kirby) convinced me that this was going to be much cheaper than Quicken or any other lender.

I agreed and then started the tedious paperwork (as a couple of the posts below mention). It was never ending, document after document — sometimes the same document was asked twice (once by the loan officer and then by the closing agent!). After 4 weeks of sending documents, emailing back and forth for an explanation of one thing or another
