Lexington Law

Loose a lot of money for nothing

Really these guys make a lot of money and are, in my opinion, border line to criminal. I was with them for more than 10 months regarding two collection agencies that hit my credit score very bad. I hired them in the hopes to resolve it as i have no clue why and what these were. Nothing absolutely nothing happened.

They have some automated setting for sending some standard mails out to these people and will email you what they have done on your behalf that is sending out “one size fits all” mails to who knows who. They were not able to prove me once that they received once a reply from anyone. They might also tell you that they have disputed it with the credit agencies. Do not believe that as they can not mail you a prove of it.

In my case after being frustrated I called and mailed all the creditors. It turned out that it was regarding a speeding ticket (5miles/h over the limit) related 5 years back where they had the wrong name and address of that person. The best part is that both collection agencies were after the same unresolved issue.

I have no clue why it shoed up related to my SS. Anyhow, I called the experian credit bureau, explained the situation and they immediately tool one down right there and disputed the other one and a week later both were gone and my credit score jumped 130 points up. It took me two days, 4 phone calls and two mail interaction to resolve this.

WOW! Based on my personal opinion, and experience I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NOT(!) TO GO TO LEXINGTON LAW! I believe you will loose a lot of money for nothing.

  1. This attitude somehow amazed me, it needs to be improved.

Although h representatives a the Lexington Law are nice and friendly, but they fail to provide all he details. The representative was in a hurry to finalize the deal and thus did not mention about the initiation fee. This attitude somehow amazed me, it needs to be improved.

  2. STAY AWAY!!

STAY AWAY!! Service is a joke and they’re hustlers. They lie to try to get more money from you.

  3. Do not use them ever!

I am unable to afford them at the moment and when I called to cancel and to get a refund they denied me that right because they said that had done work on removing some of my accounts from my credit report.

They take your money and could care less. The customer services is horrible. I would not recommend them to anybody. I saw maybe two things come off and have been attempting to cancel for a month and can never get anyone or anywhere! Do not use them ever!

  4. They don't do anything to help you.

They don’t do anything to help you. All they do is take your money and contact the credit bureaus with disputes asking to prove if it is correct. They have done this 3 times now. Nothing to help my credit. I spend $500 to $700 dollars that could of gone to my credit. It is a scam.

I never received updates or anything, no contact about anything. It has been almost 6 months since I signed up and nothing. My credit score has actually gone down because of them sending things off to credit bureaus.

  5. Total ripoff.

Total ripoff. They just send form letters which actually end up damaging your credit because items get reported again that have been dormant. It’s like something from 3 years ago happened yesterday.

Then you can’t cancel online. You have to call and listen to a sales pitch shh you should stay. Then they charge you to cancel telling you that work has been done that month. Biggest scam ever! Stay as far away from them as possible.

  6. I paid and immediately had them send a cancellation.

Take your hard earned money to another credit repair agency. Lexington Law is full of games and big words trying to throw people off. They purposely prolong the process of credit repair. What should take 2 to 3 months they drag for much longer by only challenging very few items at a time.

I recently told Lexington Law to suspend my account, one month later, I’m getting charged anyway for work they’ve NOT done. So prevent anymore of their scams, I paid and immediately had them send a cancellation.

  7. Bad Service Provide

I was with Lexington Law for only 10 days, and they got over on me for about 200.00 dollars in one day. So i signed up with them on March 14, 2017, i have 5 days to cancel. On the 17th of March i called and asked that this service,

i signed me and my husband up for be cancelled. Not to mention when i signed up, they gave me the option of signing a second person up for a double discount. WRONG!!

So first they didn’t cancel my account, they still tried to charge me on the 19th, unbeknownst to me. So when they couldn’t charge me i incurred a 19.95 decline fee. Ok so now here we are 9 days later after the initial charge they tried to take, and i wake up to a charge of 119.95….59.95… and 19.95. So i call LEXINGTON LAW and after being told i would be on hold, for a little over 5 min i got someone in about 25 min.

Now I’m not going to get long winded, and tell you the story verbatim. but, i will give you the long story in short form. So ultimately i was told that I was charged the 119.95 was because my discount wasn’t applied…… How does that work when I’m the primary person to sign up. Then the charge for 59.95 was for my husbands account…..

The dots were to imply that his case was discounted, even though he was only afforded the discount as a secondary sign up to my primary…. And lastly the 19.95 was a decline fee that was added when they tried to take the money on the 18th not the 19th which was scheduled. So the lady said she would wave the 19.95 for my account and close it out.

But my husband whom i signed up, had to call on his own to close out his case. ( attorney client privilege). So i added him to the phone call where she proceeded to tell me that there was a fee after the close out because we closed in the middle of a billing cycle. but yet you can cancel at anytime. anytime meaning withing the first 5 days of signing up so you don’t incur a charge.

longer story short i had to end up letting them keep the 200 they took. We had to let them keep the 120 for both accounts, and 32.68 a piece for the fee of closing them out. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

  8. This company is a lying joke!

This company is a lying joke! Stay FAR FAR AWAY FROM Lexington Law! They lied straight out the gate!!! I was told I wouldn’t be charged until 3 weeks later and they tried to charge me 5 DAYS later!!!!

Then they told me for their screw up they’d only charge me $59 instead of $119 but when I cancelled their crapy service they then told me they were going to charge me $129!!!! Lucky for me I changed my credit card number the day I found out they already wanted to charge me $119 on day 5!!!

They won’t get a dime from me! I got a different story EVERYTIME I talked to them! PLUS, now my phone has been ringing off the hook with collection calls since they supposedly sent letters to them. ALL THEY DID WAS TRIGGER COLLECTION CALLS FOR ME!!! And they wanted $129 for that?!!!!?!?! Hell no!!!! Stay FAR FAR AWAY FROM Lexington Law!!!! They’re a JOKE!!!!!!

  9. This Is Worst

absoutely horrible if i had known that they couldnt help me i would have went another way fix your credit yourself they are thee worst

  10. He is extremely rude!!!

This form of punitive communication will not work for your public and to continue running this company with no accountability and no apology for inept communication and lack of timely service will catch up to you. Your company used to be decent a few years ago. Having worked as a director and CEO myself over many years for five star spas and resorts, I can tell you this all trickles down from the top, as we all know.

If you can focus on exemplary customer service, then you might have a chance at being the one source for credit repair that has actual credibility, but unfortunately, the lack of compassion and accountability and chronic under-staffing will override all else and in my experience, keep you at the mid-bottom of the crowd.

  11. that time I was indeed very upset about the way my account had been handled.

Here is the letter I just wrote to Lexington Law. I couldn’t be more disappointed in this company. After 1 1/2 years of trying to remove ONE item from my credit reports, and a long time of being auto-drafted the wrong charges (they will arbitrarily slide you into a higher charge tier without asking) and months of frustration with letters not being written,

challenges in completing ANY thing, a condescending attitude that comes from the top, my credit is actually far worse than when I began due to sloppy letter writing on my behalf actually removing positive credit accounts — communication is a huge challenge. I wasted hours of time and money and got no help! Here my last letter to them:
    “Dear John, (John Heath)

I couldn’t be more disappointed in the unprofessional manner in which you cancelled my account and declined to complete the ONE and only task I had for your team to resolve — over 1 1/2 months of ups and downs. I put up with alot. You have no idea.

And yes you can see in the history of my now infamous “survey” in which your company asked me to do with the usual questions and I answered honestly, (then had my account cancelled because I was honest)…and yes, at that time I was indeed very upset about the way my account had been handled.

  12. this company stinks!

this company stinks! beware of dates they lied to me and told me i had to the fifth to cancel and actually it was the fourth which was a sunday and they are closed! so of course they took their payment sunday and over drafted my acct. beware, beware, beware! i will be reporting them to the bbb….

  13. Bad Service Provide

scam all day long paid them for three months absolutely nothing got done when i called to cancel the charged me just to cancel any thing they say they can do you can do yourself for free on credit karma or a place like that this place is full of shlt

  14. Don't even bother!

Don’t even bother! Paid them 3 months @ $129.00 per month and my score went down 43 points. It’s important to note that I did absolutely nothing on my end to affect my score in any way during that time period.

Every time I asked why, the rep answered as if she was reading off a cheat sheet. It was almost funny in a way; she kept using the same standard response for different concerns and questions I had.

I finally asked her to stop reading the answers out of her handbook she was given during her training because it was starting to really piss me off. Guess what; she gave me another one of those standard responses.

We were going in circles. I finally cancelled. They won; they got me for over $400 and my score went down 43 points in the 3 months they were supposedly working on it.

  15. STAY AWAY!

STAY AWAY!! Service is a joke and they’re hustlers. They lie to try to get more money from you.
