Arvest Central Mortgage Co Is The Worst mortgage company I ever dealt with. My first mortgage through the builder was later transferred to this company, so I didn’t have a choice.

– Poor Customer service.

– Worst online web site.

– The only way to pay the monthly dues without any additional fee is to setup auto pay!

If you try to pay them over phone or online, they will charge a fee of min.

$10. Or you post the check to them with your own postage!

– Keep an eye on your monthly statements. They may charge additional fees without your knowledge which you may not notice!

    I will NEVER use this company again and am considering refinancing just to get rid of them. (I am keeping my fingers crossed that they sell our loan but quick:))

    Don’t use this company if you have a choice at ALL! I have never had so many issues as with this company and I have bought and/or refinanced at least 7 times in the last 10 years.

    Setting up any type of payment system with them is a nightmare. first they were going to charge us to make automatic payments. Then when we did mail them the infomatin, they lost our automatic payment information and made it a nightmare as our payment was then late.

    they also sent information to a “wrong address” which is idiotic as our mortgage address IS our address.

  3. I'm so appalled at such incompetence from Arvest

    We’re now stuck with a late fee charge on our existing mortgage with Arvest, out $500 for nothing, and they may try to charge us $700 for an appraisal that was inaccurate and below market. We’re also out $200 for various fee charges getting $52K out of our savings. I’m so appalled at such incompetence from Arvest

  4. Bad Service Provide

    Think TWICE before you go through this mortgage company for your loan! In March, we refinanced to get a low interest rate. For the past year, I have paid more than my regularly scheduled payment electronically through my bank.

    Back in April I noticed that I was paid ahead three months. Central Mortgage had taken 3 additional months of interest out of the extra money that was intended to be applied to principal. When I called them about it, they told me that “it is good because now I was paid ahead on my loan.” WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD PAY INTEREST IN ADVANCE.

    Needless to say, I had them reverse the interest and apply to my principal. I was told since I sent $ twice within the month that interest would be taken out of the second payment too.

    So June 3 arrived and we get a call saying our payment was late. (Due date is June 1st which was Sunday and they are closed). The repr was very rude to my husband saying we were late and that we had to send our payment in on time to avoid past due fees.

  6. Bad Service Provide

    They had received my mortgage payment before I received any letter confirming they were the new owners of the loan, or a payment booklet. I have requested numerous times, not to be contacted at work.

    I have provided several other numbers and email to reach me at. Additionally central mortgage changed the locks on me, after receiving my non-late payment, and with no correspondence. Illegally locking me out of my house, for no reason.

    Horrible customer service. Every time I call the wait is almost 90 minutes before a customer agent reaches you. Hope I never have to call them again

  9. UNBELIEVABLE

    So I called that evening asking when is our account considered late – the 17th replied the repr. I told her “SO WHY would you call us saying we were late on the 3rd. I told them o June 4th they would get payment which they did. Low and behold, they took 3 months of interest out of the money I sent. UNBELIEVABLE! Called Central Mortgage again, asking to reverse interest and apply to principal.

  10. DON'T TRUST THEM

    When my job changed a few years ago, we renogiated the interest rate and they promised to cancel an addiitonal $5K in debt. I signed new contract and found they changed their minds about the $5k debt and didn’t bother to tell about the change between the time they sent me the proposal and the time the contract was sent. DON’T TRUST THEM

    USAA, BMO Harris and many others do not charge their customers if they choose to pay their mortgage online. Furthermore, most companies would not tell their customers three times they’ll mail out a coupon book then not come through without any correspondence.

    Unfortunately most of their customers do not have a choice in who takes control of their mortgage and Arvest Central Mortgage takes full advantage of that at the expense of their customers.

  12. My mortgage was sold to Central after closing

    My mortgage was sold to Central after closing , the firs few payments were uneventful until they reviewed escrow account and said I had a shortage in the tax area. Tried to work through the issues with them as they were double billing me on 3 of 4 parcels.

    Not only did they want me to prove to them where the error was they also suggested they wanted me to pay pmi since my monthly payment went from 764 to 1066. Ended up refinancing my loan through a larger bank and brought my payments back down to original cost. Hard to believe this is not closely regulated.

    I’ve had a great experience with Central Mortgage Company so far. I was lucky enough to be connected with an awesome Customer Service Representative, Joseph Smith. I’m a first time buyer and he has made the experience much easier than I expected.

    He responds to my emails and/or calls within the hour and I feel that he genuinely cares about the issues I approach him with. I hope that the company brings on more Reps like him to help improve their image.

  15. Terrible service and completely unforgiving.

    Terrible service and completely unforgiving. 26 minutes late with a payment and it cost me $35. Go elsewhere!!
