The Rueth Team – Fairway Inde...
Avoid the Rueth TeamI have avoided publishing a review of The Rueth Team – Fairway Independent
Mortgage because Nicole is a friend of a friend; however, now it is time…
As a retired U.S. Naval officer I have had many opportunities to deal with mortgage companies across the United States.
My experience with Nicole Rueth was the worst ever. For starters, when I first went to review the paperwork on a new purchase there was a $10,000 error!
Nicole and her team had failed to credit me for my $10K earnest money! Just an oversight, they said, easily fixed.
This didn’t bode well. Later in the transaction, again reviewing the documentation, I asked the purpose of a strange number of several thousand dollars that I didn’t understand.
Nicole Rueth said that it was just a number that they generate to make all of the figures match! Huh? Obviously they had no clue what that number was all about.
I didn’t accept that explanation and eventually they came through with a reasonable explanation that was justified.
Wow? Just make up answers! Well, the purchase was finally completed but after some time I had not received any information about my payments and where to send them.
As I recall the first one was due in December. Mid- December and still no info.
Finally I squeezed the necessary information from them but they also notified me that the loan had been sold to another company effective in January.
It is interesting to note that they didn’t even to give the notice required by the U.S. government!
Frankly, I was pleased to be leaving the ranks of Rueth Team customers so I didn’t care.
The Rueth team told me that I should wait to get information from the company that was taking over the loan, in January!
To me that meant that my first payment would be late and I did not accept that so I made the first payment to Fairway (Rueth Team).
This seemed to upset them because now they had to deal with the tax information for just one month.
Too bad, I was more concerned about my credit history and being on time than saving them some effort to generate tax documents!
The good news is that the new company was easier to deal with and they knew how to do the math.
I thought I was finally done with the Rueth Team. Unfortunately, I have received several emails from this group since our business relationship ended.
In spite of several requests to unsubscribe from their annoying emails they continue to appear. Today, I received yet another – the final straw.
I apologize to my friend who steered me toward the Rueth Team but honestly, this group is the worst mortgage company I have encountered in five decades.
Avoid the Rueth Team! And…Nicole if you read this, please quit sending emails. A one star rating is way to generous for this group!
