Tameron Honda

The cost of maintenance is SO MUCH HIGHER

Well I bought my car at Tameron Honda and the salesperson sold me a hybrid and talked to me about how much I would save in gas and in oil changes and I purchased a car out of my price range because the sales person convinced me that because of the gas savings, insurance savings and maintenance savings I would be able to afford the higher monthly car payment.

BOY WAS SHE WRONG – My car insurance went up, and the cost of maintenance is SO MUCH HIGHER.

I called today 3/26/18 and asked how much the maintenance would be for the A12 code message on my car APPROX  450 dollars REALLY  this is not cheaper and the insurance went up.

  1. I will never go to Tameron Honda again but the next place I have to use

They did what needed to be done even though it took 6 weeks, $6000 and 5 trips. I know dealerships charge more than just the random repair shops but I also assumed they would fix it correctly.

I waited too long to go to the Service Manager. I will never go to Tameron Honda again but the next place I have to use I will not be trusting and I will ask many, many questions.

  2. NOT recommended.

I really didn’t want to give them one star. My experience has been with the Service Department. I took my van in because the check engine light was on and it kept misfiring so basically the van would not go at certain times.

I took my van in on April 18th and just picked it up today for the 5th time. They told me the engine needed rebuilding at a cost of around $6000.

  3. DO NOT GO HERE.

The salesman we were supposed to meet with ditched us. We liked the guy that they gave us in his place, however they try to talk as fast and as complicated as possible to confuse you. We tried to trade a convertible mustang and a honda civic for ONE ACCORD and they wouldn’t do it for us.

They appraised my mustang at way under Blue Book value and it’s in perfect condition with 10,000 miles less than it should have. Not to mention as soon as they saw our credit their attitudes totally changed and they turned their noses up at us like we were dirt.

I’ll never EVER go back here again. We were completely humiliated and I wouldn’t recommend anyone go here. Serra Honda has better deals, any other dealership would probably be worth the drive, DO NOT GO HERE.

  4. Got my used car from Tameron Honda and the experience was great.

Got my used car from Tameron Honda and the experience was great. Sales person I had was not pushy and very helpful. Will recommend friends to Tameron to buy a car new or used. Sales Rep: Bnull

  5. Honda makes a good car, but I will not buy from Tameron in Hoover again.

I will NOT buy there again because they lied (I found this out during my first service appointment), “didn’t recognize” or honor the Honda.com ad, presented a lower edition car than discussed and applied high pressure deceptive techniques.

  6. it is a scam to get you to dealership.

Do not believed the offer of giving you over 125% over blue book value, it is a scam to get you to dealership. The salesman was nice, but the sales manager was very pushy on getting to buy a new car.

I felt like was being forced to buy the car, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Plus, the offer on my trade was insultingly low. The junk fees are insanely ridiculous, over 1500 dollars extra for floor mats, door guards (which where not on the vehicle), splash guards and trunk tray.

  7. DO NOT BUY FROM TAMERON.

Tameron then would not give me a loaner car or offer to pay for a rental even though it was their fault I was without a car for 5 days LONGER than it originally would have taken to get fixed.

When I called to get the issues resolved, I’ve never been spoken down to so much or treated so poorly. DO NOT BUY FROM TAMERON. DO NOT work with Billy or Larry King.

  8. NO CORPORATE ASSISTANCE AT ALL

I called American Honda Corporate only to discover that all Honda dealerships are individually own… NO CORPORATE ASSISTANCE AT ALL! So I pray that the owner of Tameron – read this.

I was misquoted prices, hours later they asked for more down payment, raised my interest and raised the cost after saying all day that they were looking for a car that would fit.

  9. Bad Service.

Staff very nice & professional. However, if you’re in the used car building, it is run down with nowhere nice to sit. I’ve purchased a car before where there has been a full set up with TV, snack bar and kids playroom. This is not the case. But if you go into buy a brand new Honda (into that building) it’s a lot nicer and very clean.

I could go on about me experience and every detail but that would take all day. So I’ll just say that they made me feel like my car was going to fall apart and I needed to get into that Honda today!! Everything fell through (and thank the Lord it did). Went to have my car serviced and my normal place just now and my car that I have is just fine.

  10. All the reviews here describe the unprofessional nature of the place really well.

The general manager of the Used car section was so disrespectful and pushy that I ended up not buying a car I was really interested in. He even tried to justify his behavior by saying that he was doing me a favor and saving me money. I wish I had read more reviews of the place before going there. All the reviews here describe the unprofessional nature of the place really well.

  11. However, Robert did not call me back whatsoever all day.

Upon arrival, we were introduced to finance manager Robert Deaton. This is when the promises started falling flat. He explained that red civics were hard to come by and offered white/silver/black instead. Once he realized I wouldn’t settle for anything else, he said he found one in Murfeesboro and took a deposit check of $500 alongside the condition that it could be picked up NO LATER than Tuesday.

I stayed in Alabama all weekend as the day approached. On Monday, I called multiple times to confirm that Murfeesboro had agreed to send the car on time…but Robert said he hadn’t heard back and that he’d call me back asap and I would have it confirmed ABSOLUTELY sometime that day (otherwise, there was zero chance of having it by Tuesday as our contract stated). However, Robert did not call me back whatsoever all day.

  12. Don't bother calling the dealership to voice a comment.

  13. They presented NO CUSTOMER Loyalty none.

DECIEVED, HURT, TRAMATIZED, BELITTLED, EMBARRASED, HUMILIATED are most, not all of the ways I feel right now. I came here because this is where my last car was purchased. They presented NO CUSTOMER Loyalty- none. This has been one of the most disappointing days ever in purchasing a vehicle. First of all, this has been a two whole day process for me. I’ve missed work.

My first purchase was a Rogue Nissan that my sister and I didn’t realize on the test drive that it sounded like a lawnmower- last night. I brought this to the attention of Vince the salesman (who has been great-new to dealership), Jason P. who was a smart ass and miss quoted what he would do up unto the last moment ( he’s a liar and a thief)… oh how he is all about the dollar, he could careless about me as a customer!

    1. Bought used car that unreported wrecked

Bought a 2018 Rav 4 in February 2021. It was my second time buying a car from them. They told me it was certified pre-owned. I org wanted a Honda CR-V but my nephew is a mechanic and said don’t do it because there’s a problem with them and I would have to replace transmission within two years. So I researched and found a Toyota at a good price, they leave of the tax and fees, beware because it’s several more thousands. So the car fax said no wrecks, but a few weeks later when newfew looked at it there was actually packing wrappings still on serval hoses and parts replaced deep under the hood, I actually saw him pull it off, he ran a check on the bin number and sure enough it has been wrecked
By this time I already had gotten tag, paid registration and driven it out of town. There’s no way they didn’t know because they had installed the hoses wrong which my nephew repaired, and by this time the truck began to leak through the front window Everytime it rained. I did confront them. They offered to buy it back for same price, but wouldn’t admit wrong and actually accused me of lying. Won’t go back there ever. After they get your money they don’t care!

  14. not a big deal, but obviously Mary wasn't listening.

Seems like a bit of a ripoff dealer to me. Or maybe they just assumed I was only with my mother by force and that we were both naive on financing or car values. Either way, I’d avoid them at all cost.

It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I’ll never purchase through any Honda Dealer ever again.
So let’s get started on this review. I’ll break it down into chronological bits and give you my opinion of it.

    1) My mom was speaking to Mary. My mom requested a darker colored Honda Pilot (black or grey), but they pull around in a white one… okay, not a big deal, but obviously Mary wasn’t listening.

  15. Dont Use This Shop

This is the worst place to buy a car they sold my mother in law a GMC Acadia that’s been nothing but junk and a van to do not go here to buy anything no stars
