Seriously not one thing arrived in good condition. What a joke.
When it comes to moving across the country, the vendors you use is a SERIOUS matter and the moving company is usually the bulk of your expenses. I moved from Dallas to Albuquerque and it was a fairly quick turnaround for me ( 30 days to complete the move).
I was inundated with quotes from long distance movers and felt overwhelmed. However, I was able to narrow it down to 4 or 5 and eventually went with Suburban due to the high ratings and surprisingly low cost.
I organized my move with the utmost efficiency and, for some reason, I feared that dealing with these “vendors” would be my ultimate undoing. And I was right. I’ll get to the point: The contract says either 3-14 business days for delivery or 3-21 business days depending on location/miles/distance.
Prior to booking, I asked about when the items could be delivered and they told me they could not give me an exact date and that they had to tell me 3-14 days due to the DOT regulations. I asked if I could really expect that long (like 14 days) for such a short distance and was told that it was not likely and more like a “worst case scenario” timeline.
Dallas to Albuquerque is only about 620 miles +/- so why would I think my situation would fall into the worst case? Surprise! It did! When my items were picked up, I suppose that I was in “fairy tale land” because I believed that my items were being loaded onto a truck and then they would be hitting the road westward to ABQ and it would be a matter of days. Wrong.
The contract does state it could take up to 14 business days but doesn’t delve into the logistics of what happens once your items leave your home. The contract does not state that your items are picked up from your house and then placed in storage and may or may not even leave the storage for a few weeks.
They said you could elect to have your items stored for up to 30 days but I did not elect or ask for any storage nor was I under the impression that my items were going to be stored in any way, shape, form or fashion – least of all for 2 weeks! Long story short, I’ve been in Albuquerque for several weeks without furniture or even so much as 1 pot or pan.
I moved here alone with 2 full suitcases( thankfully I had the foresight to pack as many clothes as I could into my checked luggage on the plane) and my car ( my car was shipped fast by another company thank God and I had packed some items in my car as well) and I have been in an empty apartment trying to make the best of it.
I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on temporary items, an air mattress, a lamp, clothes, bath items, etc etc. You name it, I’ve had to buy it to hold myself over until this moving van arrives ( if it even still is out there!).
The main issue here is the total lack of communication with the dispatch and customer service. Could I not have been told during that 2 weeks ( in which I was calling them desperately every other day) that my items HAD NOT LEFT DALLAS?
Most importantly, I’ve been a prisoner to the moving company given that they could never say where the items were, where the trucks were or provide me any valuable information about the delivery. I am at their mercy.
Without ever having been informed that my items weren’t really even on the way, I was under the false impression that the items could come at any time, so I was a ball of anxiety and stress on a daily basis.
Every day I was waiting by my phone hoping that it was going to be this mystical “24 hour notice of delivery” call.
I moved to ABQ for a new job and actually had to decline from attending an important out of town training because I was “waiting” for the movers to arrive and I was afraid that if I left out of town, then sure enough they would show up right then! ( my luck being as it is).
All the while I was in ABQ waiting day to day, my items had not even left Dallas and as of this review, I am not even sure where my items are at. I was told my delivery would come today. It did not. Now I am being told it will be tomorrow. Notice a trend? Exactly.

Great Experience
We sold our home and used Suburban relocation systems at that time and they were great at moving us into our rental. We bought a home and just used them again in last month. The lead guy and his men all did a fantastic job again for us. They were quick and everything arrived in tact and they were happy to help us organize the furniture placement if needed before they left. Plus free boxes! I would certainly use them again.
Well-mannered movers
I have moved for bunch of times before. For my last move I hired Suburban relocation systems. I haven’t seen such polite movers before. They were highly trained and well mannered. My move went perfectly and all my belongings arrived safely. I talked to their manager when I first contacted them. He was a kind-hearted gentleman. He quoted me very low. I don’t have any bad words to say about them. They were perfect.
These guys are amazing
With Suburban relocation systems, everything about the move was completely seamless and headache free. They sent me some well-trained movers. They handled my move very efficiently. They packed everything thoroughly. They delivered my belongings safely right on schedule. I have to talk about their pricing. They quoted me reasonably to begin with and then stuck to it till the end. Not only me, my few friends also used them and they also found them to be cost effective and professional. I am thankful to this company and would like to recommend them.
Flawlessly and safely delivered
Moving is always nerve-wracking. But my last move was an incredible moving experience with Suburban relocation systems. If you need quality movers go with these guys. Their customer service was available at all times and responded promptly with questions and concerns. I have to make a special mention about the cost. These guys charge very equitable for the exceptional service they provide. However I don’t have words to describe how truly great team of movers was!
Huge relief for me
In these days most of the moving companies just think about how to make profit out of their business. I think, Suburban relocation systems is very different and they mainly focus on their quality of work. I hired them last month and they were very friendly. As I couldn’t pay a lot, they gave me some discounts also. Their team was well trained and packed everything nicely. They relocated everything safely to my apartment. My valuable things were safe and sound.
The movers were fast and efficient
I had old furniture which was very close to the expiry dates. So I called the professionals for help. The movers from Suburban relocation systems had to take great care of them during the move and they really did so. They made sure they stacked everything properly inside the van so nothing damages during the journey. They never complained or whined. I was very impressed by their professionalism. I have to say, this company wasn’t cheap! It was money well spent though. Got a smooth move.
They made our move easy
We used Suburban relocation systems for our last move. The foreman on the job was efficient, organized and spot-on. He did not leave one stone unturned. When we thought we were finished, he would give us multiple opportunities to walk through the home to be certain and to rethink things. Packing up so many years of things and moving them across the country was not an easy task. He kept his crew moving and careful with our belongings, and they were all exceedingly polite and hard-working. We were very satisfied with them in every way and would use them again.
Great understanding of this job
The news came suddenly that my dream job was secure and I had to move there as soon as possible. I had to quickly arrange a moving company to take all my belongings. I hired Suburban relocation systems because of the reputation they have. They really delivered on every aspect. They were extremely professional at their job, their wrapping was immaculate and they loaded everything safely out of my apartment to their van waiting downstairs. I am forever grateful to them for the awesome services they provided me at a very reasonable cost.
Cheap and efficient move
I had a great relocation experience with Suburban relocation systems. The staff, both in the office and on the job, was polite and easy to work with. The move wounded up being less than the quote I received. I have had a bad moving experience in the past, so it was important for me to hire the right people. These guys made the transition into my new home an easy one.
This is a top notch company
When this relocation was finished it was one of the greatest feelings I felt in my life. There were so much anxiety and stress and curiosity to have this move would be completed. We got lucky to find a company called Suburban relocation systems. They are filled with professional associates that actually listen to all your needs. Understanding that everybody’s move is different you can’t treat everybody the same. We disclosed everything to them from the smallest knickknack to the biggest piece of furniture. They were fantastic. Everything about the move went excellent and if we ever had to move again they would be our mover.
I had fun with this move
This is not the first time I moved. But it’s the first time I moved without having to go mad with stress. Suburban relocation systems took on the duties so well that I really had nothing to worry about. Their movers were highly trained and they worked very fast to pack up all my valuables. They delivered on time and all my belongings were safe. They even unpacked for me. They charged the exact amount they estimated. I realized that I actually had a lot of fun with these guys during my last move.
Awesome performance
I definitely got all my things into my new place without any damages and I really didn’t spend beyond my moving budget. I had two flat screens and three couches that were fairly brand new and these movers from Suburban relocation systems were extremely careful while handling those pieces. My boyfriend and I were getting a bit too busy to organize the move and actually move on our own. So thanks to these guys for everything they did. Every item was in good condition and this company had a great friendly customer service.
Amazing moving company
Suburban relocation systems is simply amazing. This was by far the best experience I have had with any movers. I needed to get some stuff into a storage unit and after seeing the amount of things I had, they knew exactly what size of a unit I needed and even helped me get a great deal on the storage. Everything was hassle free and very efficient. I had a great moving experience with these guys.
Flawless performance
I’ve just moved with the help from Suburban relocation systems and everything went flawless indeed. I am writing this review for all those who are about to relocate and who have already read enough horror stories on movers– you could give a chance to these fantastic movers and they won’t disappoint you. Before I scheduled these guys, I read a lot of testimonials and reviews on movers and I even asked for a recommendation on moving-related forums. Then I called some companies, but the guy on the phone at this company was the most helpful and answered all my questions. He sent me an all-out estimate with all the costs explained. Then everything went smoothly. Movers came on time, packed and loaded everything professionally and a week later all my stuff was delivered.
Worst Worst Worst, nothing else
Worst of the Worst. They delivered about next month of the date of delivery, They charged 1000 more, and they MISSED 2-3 full boxed of my stuff. after many called , she just said: ” Sorry I dont have anything to say , may deliver to other Customer!!!!, or missed somewhere !!!!! That’s it!??? Nothing, nothing ELSE.
