Sales manageSo I was online looking to purchase a car and I came across a car at Serra Mazda. Excellent price. I go ahead and call the dealer to see if they can send me a few pictures since the advert online didnt have any.
I get to talking with the sales guy Peter. He tells me he will get me those pictures asap.
Another thing to note is im an out of state buyer so going in just to look at the car isnt an option.
I was 4-5 hours and nothing. I call to make sure I gave him my number correctly. I leave a message with the operator.
I wait a few more hours and nothing.
The next morning comes around and I get a message from Peter stating that the car is at the shop getting work done so pictures will be delayed some.
No big deal. I ask Peter if the car has certain options i require.
He tells me that it does so I tell him id like to get the ball rolling on purchasing the car ie negotiate a price and give him my deposit.
The price on their site was $7,772 with an “enter your email for the best price” option. So i throw out an offer of $7000.
Peter comes back with a counter offer of $9,800. I was taken aback !
Apparently they raised the price on the car within 12 hours of me contacting them. This seems like a very shady practice.
Now I’m waiting for the sales manager to get back to me.
Update: Helen a sales manager called me to tell me that there was some miscommunication.
The new real price is $8,900 because they add a $1,500 tire rotation and oil changes.
That’s where we are at people. A $1,500 hidden fee.
She tried “working with me” by selling me the car at $8,900.

the guy in service I called prior to taking car to get recalls fixed that were warranty, so I tell him on phone the dash was so bad I had to take the padding off because it was getting on everything, well now I call to see if its ready, not only is it not ready but Jason tells me they can not do dash recall because the padding was scrapped off and I dropped car off 3 days ago and they don’t call or even fix the drivers seat recall,
I finaly started catching on they were covering lies with lies. WORST SERVICE DEPARTMENT EVER!!! A recall is a recall recalled by mazda, because of safety issues.Ill never use Trussville department again, and will take it to a mazda dealer who knows their cars.
