Oswego Mortgage
Absolutely HorribleAbsolutely horrible. After working over 2 months with Jackson we ended up getting horrible advice losing thousands of dollars and dropping 100 points on my husbands credit score.
Finally i went to Guild mortgage and my husband who is a disabled veteran was given a 350k home loan after 5 business days.
We were told that the money we spent on paying off my husbands debt should have stayed in our bank account and the debt should have been attached to the home loan.
The broker we are working with now was appalled by the way oswego mortgage treated a disabled veteran.
So basically if you are using the va home loan don’t believe the hype they are not knowledgeable enough to handle situations that aren’t black and white and if there are any bumps in your credit history they could end up really hurting you in the long run.
Not to mention the rude and condescending way they treat you, and when they run out of answers they just choose to ignore you and leave you hanging, failing to respond to any type of communication.
Never Again
I would not use Oswego Mortgage again.
Two unfortunate incidents though.
Jackson and Amity were very helpful. Two unfortunate incidents though. First was the underwriter selected. Terrible communicator and very slow to respond when provided what was asked for, and didn’t seem to know how to ask for what he wanted… provided LOTS AND LOTS of documentation only to be asked for the same thing in another form.
We almost didn’t close on time because of all his last minute foot dragging. Second issue, probably not OM’s fault was I got an email the morning to sign with wire instructions. Turned out to be a hack somewhere in the system. Took time to get resolved, but HUGE CAUTION here to only take wire instructions over the phone from someone you know and trust in the process.

Horrible experience.
Horrible experience. Definitely will not be referring any fellow veterans, but will let them know my experience and disrespectful nature in which we were treated.
Did not once feel like a valued customer, let alone veteran any time during this process. They could care less if you served your country or not. It’s all the same to them.
THESE GUY'S JUST GIVE YOU THE COLD SHOULDER AND STONEWALL YOU TILL YOU GO AWAY!
I heard their hype on the radio, made my appointment, and once they got my credit rating (admittedly not great) never heard from them again.
It was like,”since your not the type of client we can work with, we won’t call you back”!
I’ve had other service related companies go out of their way to try and help me with various things, or at least steer me in the right direction to get back on track to where I want to be.
