One NYC Residential Real Estate
Emil Was Completely UnresponsiveI think One NYC Residential Real Estate was just acquired by Prudential Elliman, but a word of warning: We worked with Emil Jahic to find an apartment in Murray Hill.
After paying the standard NYC brokers’ fee (which for all of Emil’s hour of work showing us apartments, was a pretty hefty sum), Emil was completely unresponsive.
We moved into the apartment that had absolutely no repairs, maintenance, or cleaning performed after the last tenants.
It took more than a month to have repairs performed. Building management told us repeatedly this had been our broker (Emil)’s job to arrange, and that he had failed to do so.
Then, we received a back-dated bill for an extra week of rent.
We refered the issue to Emil, who after saying he would contact the leasing office immediately, stopped answering his phone and disappeared.
When I spoke with the leasing office, they said that Emil had never contacted them.
This is the level of service what $4000 in brokers’ fees gets you, apparently!
Do not work with Emil Janic at any cost!
