LendingPoint

Never consult LendingPoint. These people are liars

I contacted LendingPoint looking at their high star ratings on the web. I needed a small loan to meet an unexpected expense in the middle of the pay day. When I spoke to the Lending Specialist, I was promised too much. The specialist told me that the loan amount would be credited in three days after the form filling.

I confirmed this information thrice to ensure that I heard it correctly. The loan was for too small amount as compared to my income. So, I believed that was the reason why they would process it without much trouble and paper work. The specialist also told me that the loan was pre approved and I would face no problem in getting the loan amount credited in three days.

However, when they asked for the documents, I could not understand why they would need the details of my spending habits. They required a full detailed bank statement with all the information of my expenditures for last three months instead of the normal statement that shows just the income in and income out.

Being a former military guy, I knew how the information was too private and could be easily used to track my past life or the present time. For me, it was openly an invasion of my privacy. I asked him to consider the fact and see if they would use the normal statement clarifying my income details instead of the one they wanted.

However, the specialist told me that this requirement was non-negotiable. He informed me that the loan amount does not matter. His company, LendingPoint has few default papers that must be submitted for loan processing.

I was always late with the loan payment and did not want another credit hit on my file. So, I agreed. They left me with no choice. I requested for $2000 which I believed won’t be a tough job for such a reputed firm which the online feedbacks and reviews claim.

But, it was completely different experience for me. These people are irresponsible and unprofessional. When the amount was not credited in my account, I called the specialist whom I was in talks with. The guy did not receive the call. I tried for three times the same day.

The next day, I again tried for 5 times at various intervals. However, there wasn’t any response that day either. So, I called the firm directly. I enquired about the amount and they told me that the loan was rejected for some bogus reason. I earn way more than the loan amount I requested. My credit score is also good. I am a good citizen with military background. In spite of all the good things mentioned on my file and being pre-approved as per the agent, my loan was rejected. And, this guy did not have the courtesy to inform me on time.

I had to use my savings instead to meet the expense. These guys are only a bunch of liars and scammers.

  4. SCAMMER SCAMMER SCAMMER!

I got a call that immediately popped up on my phone as “spam” but I stupidly answered and the foreigner on the other line said hi ma’am you’ve been approved for a 5,000-10,000 loan, how much you want? Great proper English there bud..any way I proceeded to play along knowing good & well that it was a scam when he said I qualified for that much but yet every other LEGIT place I’ve applied for even a $1,000 loan, immediately denied. So, I played along..he then proceeded to ask for security purposes may I please have all of your credit card numbers and information. At that point, I died laughing and said what kind of loan company needs the customers credit card info?! Like, what?! When I called him out as a scam, he said no ma’am most definitely not a scam, this is used as our company insurance in case you can’t repay the loan we charge your credit card. Yeah, okay buddy. You’re most definitely NOT getting my credit card info. I’m so sick of these scammers & their unbelievably sad lives. Don’t fall for it. Not legitimate. NEVER give out your online banking username and password, any credit/debit card numbers, or other personal information. As always, do your research & as a golden rule..if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Good luck!

  5. DON'T BE FOOLED THEY GOT ME!!

These people are using Lending Point information scammed me on 5/10/22 for about 2700.00 wrote checks I just found out . They ask for username and password, was opening up claims from past transactions on my bank account writing checks but hide my notifications from ME so when bank was giving me credits it look like he was giving me deposits to send back to them by cash app bitcoins. I’m so embarrassed about this because I should known it was too good to be true . Said his name was Mark Thomas. My Bank of America count frozen my paycheck was in this mess. These people just pray on people but I’m a believer in Karma!

  6. Wrong Lending Point just using the name of the real Lending Point.

Per my previous complaint. They call you and say right off the bat. Your are pre approved for 10,000.00 guaranteed!!!! Like I said they will you because you can’t call them because it is all fraud. Really to bad they can wake up every day knowing they are stealing from people and giving the kids real Lending Point here in the United Stars a bar name. The real company you only apply lin. They don’t call you.

  7. Big time Scammers and will steal from yoi

Adding just information from my posting minutes ago. They use email [email protected]

  8. Nothing but a scam sand they will rip you off and steal your money.

They will tell you that you are approved. Then tell you on order to get the loan they need your bank account information and password!!!So to get you credit score up higher they will make a payment on one of your credit cards. Then they will ask you to go get American Express, Apple Card’s or any gift cards. You then would need take pictures of the gift cards and a receipt for the amount of the gift cards. They actually called my credit card and impersonating to be me.Then they redeem the cards amounts and use right away. Then the want to go into you credit card and take all the money back that they would have paid on your credit card. Everyone you cannot make payments on an Apple Card . Only can use to buy products. You will never get the money back from an Apple Card. Then they say they will ruin your credit if you don’t send the entire amount that they paid on your credit card and tell you they are returning the money back to the Apple Card’s. And then will take the full payment back off your credit card even though they used the full amount off the Apple Card. Wow don’t be fooled they have teams doing this and are all from India. Very rude and disrespectful a obnoxious. He even told me that I am a liar and stole my credit card. They are big,big liars and they nice you tell them cancel my loan request they turn into the devil. But they are convincing. I can’t believe being the smart person no I am I almost fell for it. They want your checking account and password so they can on to your on line banking and look at your balance. I told any would anyone to that. Not even your bank has your pin # or password. He said yes they do and that’s when told him to ..,,,,,go to hell. We all know and our credit cards and banking accounts to never give out that much information. He admitted to me that he was sorry that yes they did call my credit card company and pretended to be me. Every time I told told him(SAM HUGGAD) I am on the phone with my credit card company. He would say you don’t need to call them we are hanging everything…,SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS and just bad people. If you question yourself about it and it feels wrong. Listen to yourself it is wrong. Go with your gut. The phone number they call from is 678-667-8390 comes up possible Sam on your phone out of Atlantic, Georgia and they even answer the phone as Lenfing Point but say they are. I called the real Lending Point and they know they have scammers doing this . You can hear air the nose on the background people from India and sounds like a call center of scams we all hear about every day.

  9. LendingPoint Inc is a scam call center

There seems to be two LendingPoint. The address for LendingPoint L.L.C is in Kennesaw Georgia but LendingPoint Inc is in India but stamps a picture of the Seal of the State of New York.

Let me tell you how I know. Today I received a call from LendingPoint and the typical male scammer from India was in a call center full of people giving the same exact spiel.

He insisted that I order the more expensive loan because without communicating with me, he claims I am eligible for a $3000 loan but can get $5000.

I never applied for $3000. But like every scammer got my application from legit sites. He then sent me documents that were written in very bad grammar and for another person.

How would a legitimate company manage to send back to a customer an already filled contract without that contract in a file? And the guy in charge called himself “Financial Department Head” and signed the name David in nstead of the typed name Eric Tamu.

Be careful, this was a scammer.

  10. A scam loan site

I have to say that people should beware of this loan scam site. After submitting her account details, they took all the money into their fiancé’s account. She later noticed fake checks entering her history and using her account for online purchases. She lost over $2,500. Please beware of this site.

  11. Lending Point Scam

Do not believe anything they say about offering loans to those with low credit scores or being able to boost your credit score. They pray on the weak, those that are down and out on their luck. They make everything seem legit, but it is total BS. They scammed me out of $715, via my bank account and CaspApp.

I was really vulnerable and not thinking because I needed quick cash. They say they will give you a small loan, but you have to pay it back really quick so they can boost your credit score, in order to approve you for a higher loan. They talk you into accessing your bank account and they submit a dispute on your behalf (without your knowledge), so you can receive an immediate credit. Then they act like they actually deposited money in your account. Then they have someone request money from you in CashApp (or any other cash app), and because you received a temporary credit from the dispute they submitted (without your knowledge), you have the available credit in your bank account. By the time you learn of the dispute, you have already sent the money back to them.

What’s even worse, CashApp could give 2 F@%#* about what happened, since the scammer made it appear as if you completed all transactions. I am so embarrassed and disgusted with myself, because I should know better. I’m not confident that my bank will feel any different than CashApp does.

Do yourself a favor, and save yourself from the same feeling I have now and will have for a long time to come. When you see Lending Point, RUN LIKE HELL.

  12. Scam Alert

I received a call today from a suppose to be agent from this lending company. The number was 217-336-2472. And the agent had my information and I was worried because I did not visit their site to apply for no loan. I was confused because I said I applied for a loan but not through your establishment I told the agent. I then said are you a third party lender or a third party to another company? The agent could not answer. So I then started asking the agent questions in regards to phone number and physical address of the company and the agent got quiet, but also to mention how you tell me I am qualified for a loan then say I am not based on a fair credit score then try to proceed to give me a loan, but first I must take a screenshot from my mobile bank app? Ummm…loan officers would collect that information already without you sending information like that or asking for my mobile bank login to verify if funds are deposited in the account. I am sick of these scammers. And when I ask the agent to verify company information I legit found online, the confirmation I was given was not matching. I am livid they have my bank account info and last four social. They must be stopped. Thankfully I have theft protection so the suckers would not get far than what they intend on doing.

  13. Phishing for all your private information

This agent Jose Hernandez said he needed other bank accounts, which unfortunately I gave to him along with a statement for the bank. Then I’m assuming they found a reason to decline the loan, because I never heard from him again. Be careful not to give Lending Point too much information because they don’t plan to approve your loan anyway. Seems like just a phishing expedition.

  14. A little honesty would go a long way with the public.

would have zero balances once paid off with the debt consolidation loan, and one payment to make, streamlining my life!! I did everything they asked of me. My credit score is Fair (would be excellent if my balances were low!)… I make enough money. Who in the world ever would even need a debt consolidation loan if their balances are already LOW?????

So my experience with Lending Point has been absolutely utterly terrible! I feel totally lied to! Joseph said I had the loan. He was sending me my contract. He lied! And how did Lending Point end up being who talked to me when I applied through Lending Tree???

ARE THEY THE SAME COMPANY??? Are they doing a “bait and switch” tactic on the public??? This is awful what Lending Tree and Lending Point are doing collectively… And they need to be exposed! It would’ve been professional if Joseph had said: “You applied with Lending Tree and they forwarded your application to us, as we are affiliated with them.” A little honesty would go a long way with the public.

  15. I KNOW THEY ARE, HENCE, THE NEED FOR A DEBT CONSOLIDATION LOAN!! I

I clicked Lending TREE and their debt consolidation loan offer ($25,000, 48 mo). The debt consolidation loan said 26.54% but the payments were to be $785 which is over $37,000 which is 50%! So which is it, 26.54% of 50%? I kept going. Anyway, I get contacted by Joseph at Lending POINT, but I thought I was dealing with Lending TREE…

I jumped through all the hoops, submitted my documents, he kept telling me all was good, and that he’d have my contract for me by the end of the day… Well, at 9:05 pm that night, I got a form letter rejecting me, saying they couldn’t give me my loan because, get this: my “balances are too high”! Really??? I KNOW THEY ARE, HENCE, THE NEED FOR A DEBT CONSOLIDATION LOAN!! I
