I am usually a type of guy who does not write reviews about others. But, in this case, they made me so frustrated that I could not control my anger. Zurich is the worst insurance company and would never be opted if you want a peaceful claim processing. The people in this company do not have morals and ethics and try to ignore their customers at their best.
I was at the parking and was taking a left turn. My car was slow as I was still at the end of the parking lot. A company truck which was speeding down a median, hit my car while I was taking the turn. It was trying to cut the traffic and got into a dead end.
I reported directly the incident and the driver apologized for the mistake. The case file was black and white with no doubts that the driver of the truck was at fault purely. I had nothing to do with the bad driving or anything that caused accident.
The accident was severe, and I was lucky that I did not get hurt. The car was totaled. The truck company assured that they would try their best to resolve the issue and gave their insurer number which happened to be Zurich Insurance. That time, my luck stopped working for me. Someone names Toni, contacted me after the case was filed. It took her a week to call me.
She did not say much and said that the adjuster would be reviewing the case. I continued to call her, mail her, but she did not respond for next three weeks. I tried and got hold of her manager. She did the same thing to me. She did not respond for another 2 weeks. I do not understand, why a company pays to lousy employees.
Then, I got hold of another manager who said that Toni would be contacting me back. It took her 2 weeks to get back to me. When I asked about the update, she said that it would take a week more for the evaluation to finish. I was irritated, and asked for the results as soon as possible.
She contacted me after two days to announce the bad news. She said that the wreck was caused by me and she would not be paying for the claims. With all the proofs on the table, she had the audacity to refuse the payment. Zurich, hats off to you. You win the prize for worst company ever.
I will be taking this forward and would sue whoever is involved in this scam. I pity the company that paid this insurance company for nothing. Now, they will have to hold the responsibilities of all the damages caused. What a heck? Insurance company, filled with crooks and nothing that they can do about it.
