My wife and I met with an accident with an uninsured motorist. We were insured, and our policy included medical as well as uninsured and underinsured coverage. We are old and were not in a condition to pay the heft bills, all by ourselves. Because of the accident, my wife suffered from head trauma and I had Whiplash, a kind of concussion. When I spoke with the agent from USAA insurance, he denied the prompt payment and suggested that the payment would take 6 months from the date of accident.
In between, I lost my job as I was not able to work because of the severe pain. The accident resulted in so many bad things happening all together. In addition, our insurance was not supporting the cause at all. After my many requests, they started the claim investigation and to make things worse, they diluted my payment arrangements that I had with my doctor. What the insurance offered as a claim money was less than $3000 that we actually incurred in the emergency room.
I contacted my lawyer. I was not able to settle that bill myself as I was old and had lost my job as well. The lawyer reached out for the answers and I was shocked to hear their explanation. The adjusted, whom my lawyer contacted insulted my case by saying that I was old, and I would have those problems anyway. It was rude and more than that, I sensed a feeling of fraud that was cooking inside the USAA insurance office.
I provided them details of all the medical problems that my doctor had provided. My doctor told that the damaged vertebrate was the cause of the pain that happened during the accident. But, no one was ready to accept that as a reason for my pain. People from USAA were ready to undermine my doctor’s assessment to digest my claim money with a burp.
It’s been more than a year and there is no proper communication from my insurance company to close this claim at the soonest. I am filing a case against them. They did injustice and I believe that it would be the right thing to make them pay in front of the law. They breached my agreement with them and I believe they are doing the same thing with all of its customer.
I would like people to come forward and help me fight against this injustice. My lawyer checked the case and had informed me that the case is entirely on our side and there is no way they can come out clean of this.
They must pay for what they have done. All these big advertisements and fancy website, would not give them anything, if they would not consider helping people in real. USAA insurance would soon be out of clients if it continues to do the same with every other customer.
