What a terrible company. I had my home and auto with MetLife Home Loans for over 6 years and when I decided to cancel for a better rate on 10/5 I had to call back over and over again to get my check $1660.00 back (and needed desperately because my new policy required that much)!
I was told there was a “system error” and the payment was not released as of 11/7.
It was going to be sent to the “help desk” for resolution. I asked to be called back on 11/10 to let me know where the payment back to me stood…and got NOTHING.
Called again on 11/15and was told that the homeowners policy had not been canceled yet.
WHAT???? I insisted the payment be expedited to me immediately and was told that I would have it in about 5 business days and to have a “beautiful” day.
I wonder if my discust with the representitive was “recorded” – I am sure it was not.
Shame on MetLife for taking a paying customer to this level.
Terrible of them to keep my money when I always paid on time.
Shame on them for making me call back repeatedly for the money I was owed.
