I joined for the mentorbox program last year. I am a fast learner and have enrolled for various online programs before as well. But, this experience is somewhat different. Unlike other websites where you have everything right there to know, this website is tricky. I tried to subscribe for the free trail period. It did ask me for all the personal and billing information.
I subscribed for it and after three days, I received a message from my credit card company about the payment details made towards MentorBox. I right away called the credit card company to ensure if the message was about the deducted payment or the permission for payment. And, they confirmed that the payment was already made.
Later in the evening, I tried to contact MentorBox’s customer care number. I was furious because they never sent me the reminder before deducting the payment from my account. I heard someone laughing. And, the call was disconnected. So, I called back again.
This time, some lady talked to me. She told that the refund cannot be made as its against their policy. Moreover, she called me irresponsible for not keeping the track of the days and putting the blame on them. She told that the subscription can only be cancelled through an email request.
I mailed them and requested to cancel the subscription. I received an auto generated mail. Thinking that the subscription was cancelled, I let the matter go away. They charged me $7 for nothing. After stuck with the program, I checked out their lessons. I should have known. A company using such unethical sales tactics would never provide anything meaningful.
After a month, the amount was deducted again. I was surprised and shocked at the same time. I called these guys again and the same battle started. They asked me to send them the email which I had sent earlier for initiating a refund.
I did that. Nothing was done. They slept over it. Leaving me without answers. I kept calling them and, in the meantime, I blocked them calling my credit card company. They did try few times the next month to deduct the payment but were backlisted in the attempt.
This company is fraud. It charges people without their consent. And, emails for cancellation of subscription is the only way which do not even work. It did not work for me.
I contacted the customer care for refunds which was not made. After months of following up, I only received the subscription cancellation approval on mail. Wow! They heard it so soon. If these guys cannot reply to emails promptly, what else can they manage.
Worse courses, tricky website and a loop of unapproved payments. These are the things that you receive for the money and time you spend on these guys. And, a headache that would last forever. Do not fall for their ads or promises they make. Only fraud and nothing else. MentorBox is a scam with useless books and courses.
