MAC5 Mortgage

Very Frustrating Experience

Very frustrating experience With MAC5 Mortgage getting my refinance done.

Took them almost 5 months, and I lost a great interest rate because they were so slow.

Communication was great in the beginning, and then became really poor toward the end.

Although my loan was finally refinanced, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Make sure everything is in writing and in advance with these guys.

The good news was that they were able to get us a mortgage for a mountain house that was off the grid. The bad news was that they were behind in their paperwork and did everything at the last minute and charged really high fees. One of the fees was a complete surprise on the day of closing. It was $500.

We were told it would be refunded to us after closing. After a year of multiple emails and texts as well as voice messages where the refund was promised – and even statements that “the check is in the mail” we never received it. I am convinced it was never their intent to refund it. Make sure everything is in writing and in advance with these guys.
