Guild Mortage

HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, And A Liar!

Guild Mortage Company the WATSON TEAM particular is Very slow when it comes to processing the paper work.

Waited, Waited, and Waited, and the home that we were interested in was taken off of the market and now is under contract with by another family.

Lamont Watson Never answers his office phone nor his cell phone and only respondes via text message, seems like…Who does that when you are passing on CONFINDENTIAL information??? Additionally, You leave messages, and DO NOT receive a call back.

ERICA WHALEY-WATSON, (his wife I think,) is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, and a Liar!

If I could give them 0 stars or -5 I WOULD! If you are looking to purchase a home, please SAVE yourself some TIME and a HEADACHE, and go somewhere else like WELLS FARGO or BANK OF AMERICA.

I used Guild Morgage Company for a residential loan and had a terrible experience

I used Guild Morgage Company for a residential loan and had a terrible experience, and would not use them for myself or recommend them. Mario Sandoval, a branch manager/loan officer, was not familiar with California laws regarding appraiser duties and California law regarding areas such as carbon monoxide detector compliance, among other things.

Mario insisted on having carbon monoxide detectors installed in a property with no gas lines and no fireplaces. California law states that such properties are exempt from such detectors, if there is not an attached garage. Yet Mario held up the closing of my property because he doesn’t understand the laws or the responsibilities of the appraiser, who admitted that she did not understand the laws either.

In essence, Mario acted to give legal advice, which he is not qualified/allowed to do, and he contradicted California law. Mario was arrogant and rude in his responses, even when given Fire Marshall and California Law links to this information. I can understand a loan broker/branch manager not being up to speed on every law, but he took no action to learn the law and resolve the issue professionally.

What’s worse, when I emailed and called Guild Mortgage’s corporate office in San Diego to ask them to intervene and educate Mario Sandoval on the laws and Realtor regulations/forms, Lisa Klika, Chief Compliance Officer at the corporate office in San Diego, didn’t return my call or email.

you are likely in bigger trouble than you think.

I have been with Guild Mortgage for over 2 years now. I’ve never missed a payment. My experience with them to date has been pretty good. I loved the loan officer and if I ever had to speak to someone, it was always professional and helpful…That is until today.

I can see next month that I will not have enough funds to make the entire payment so I called to find out what they can do to help me. The Customer Service Rep talked to me like I was a child, told me that I had to find someway to pay the bill (duh, that was why I was calling). She said that my credit score would be impacted by the late payment and when I mentioned late fees adding up each month, she blew it off which means they don’t care.

They don’t offer deferment and she wouldn’t even discuss payment plans to repay the difference until my account is actually late. By that time its too late. So if you have financial problems for even one month, you are likely in bigger trouble than you think.

    Go somewhere else.

I called J. Small at the Tucson office for assistance with a VA loan. He told me he would pull my COE that evening and would call me to discuss further. Two days later and I still haven’t heard a word back.

This guy doesn’t have any interest in working with veterans–especially those with specific needs in relation to a home loan. Go somewhere else.
