Downtown Phoenix Dental

The price for a cleaning it's Very costly

Even having a friend refer me, I was really looking forward to making Downtown Phoenix Dental my new dentist, especially since they are less than 2 miles from my home. Sadly my experience was not the same as others. When I called to schedule I explained that I would be a new patient and asked if they needed any previous records, I was told they just needed me to complete the new patient forms.

I also asked for a quote on the price for a cleaning, as I do not have dental insurance, and was told they could not give me one over the phone. When I arrived at my appointment, I was immediately quoted $189.00 for an exam, x-rays and a cleaning. I shared that I had x-rays taken in November at my former dentist.

When asked if I’d had them sent I explained that I was not asked to when I scheduled, even after inquiring about the need for any of my previous records. I asked if I could have them sent and forgo additional x-rays at this time and if the quote of $189.00 could be reduced due to not having x-rays.

I was then given the quote of $159.00. When asked if they could do any better, the woman at the front desk said she’d need to check in back. When she returned she said that $189.00 was the best they could do. When I asked her about the previous quote of $159.00 she said that $189.00 was the discounted rate, even without x-rays. I am glad that others have had good experiences with Downtown Phoenix Dental and I hope they continue to. For me I will continue looking for my new dentist.

  1. Downtown Phoenix Dental Bad Service

Really liked this dentist, especially Lori who works there. I have been going for . I pay after every cleaning, every time. I have never set up “billing”. Just got off the phone to schedule an appointment and was told 1) I’ve been sent to collection for last visit, 2) If I pay they will see me, 3) You are upset so I’m disconnecting the call. Terrible customer service and cannot manage their accounts. Look elsewhere.

  2. was told they could not give me one over the phone.

After reading all of the reviews and even having a friend refer me, I was really looking forward to making DPD my new dentist, especially since they are less than 2 miles form my home. Sadly my experience was not the same as others.

  3. I could not have a teeth cleaning without them.

This office would not see me as a patient when I requested a cleaning without X-rays. I recently moved to Phoenix and went here as a new patient (after already having spoken to someone on the phone about receiving a cleaning without X-rays). When the receptionist told me I would be charged for a cleaning, exam, and X-ray, I told her I would not like the X-ray.

She said it was necessary so I requested X-rays from my previous dentist but the receptionist then said they were from too long ago even though they were within 6 months (as she initially stated they would need to be) and my previous dental receptionist said they should be accepted for a year (the X-rays were from November and the current month is May).

Concerned about being exposed to too many X-rays, I told the receptionist I still did not want X-rays done but concerned about my teeth, I still wanted a cleaning. The receptionist said I could reschedule for X-rays but I could not have a teeth cleaning without them.

  4. I visited Downtown Phoenix Dental yesterday for the first time and they were wonderful.

I visited Downtown Phoenix Dental yesterday for the first time and they were wonderful. Located down town, they were only a few minutes from my work and provided convenient and free valet parking. They offer electronic new patient forms that you can fill out and submit prior to your visit so when you arrive, you don’t have to wait and can be seen immediately.

The staff was so nice and welcoming, everyone including the dentist came out to greet me and introduce them selves. I was fearing the worst with my cleaning as I admit it had been a while sense my last, but the dental hygienist was so patient and understanding.

Now that I have found them, I will definitely stay on top of my cleaning and check ups as it is not an experience that I dread anymore. I will definitely be recommending them to my fellow co-workers and friends.

  5. I still make the drive downtown to his office even though I now work in Glendale.

I love Dr. Ben! I started working downtown a few years ago and needed to find a dentist that I could fit in on my lunch break or before work (30 minute cleanings). I met Dr. Ben at a bank standing in line and he was so friendly and invited me to try out his office! Since then I have seen his customer base grow twice the size.

His office uses all of the latest dental software and equipment. Everything is clean and they keep UPDATED magazines in their lobby:) That’s a big deal for me! Their office manager Robyn rocks at her job and it shows she takes pride in her job. I still make the drive downtown to his office even though I now work in Glendale. You guys rock!
