I was recently referred to Law Offices of Daniel Marquez by Attorney Molho Sonya (retired) regarding a 60 Notice to Evict I received from my landlord.
I met with Daniel on 2/8 for a 1 hour consultation and he charged me $200 cash for this one hour session.
After paying him for the consultation, he advised his computer was not working and thus he wasn’t able to print a receipt and that he would mail it to me.
He basically advised during this consultation I only needed to contact him once I received a Unlawful Detainer from my landlord.
About 50 days into the 60 Day Notice to Evict, I received a 3-Day Notice to Evict, at which time I contacted Daniel Marquez about what I should do, as well as to inquire why I had yet to receive my cash receipt.
I called Daniel Marquez’s office several times, no answer, nor did his voicemail accept messages.
I e-mailed him numerous times, and there was no response. I then went to his office and the door was locked and no one answered the door.
Since then, I have met with 2 different attorneys who have questioned why anyone would ever refer client’s to Attorney Marquez. Enough said.
Bottom line, I would never recommend Daniel Marquez for any legal advice.
