Corrupt Politician
Kalani English was caught accepting a bribe from a company in exchange for killing wastewater legislation.
He resigned during the COVID pandemic and blamed it on having long-term effects of COVID but in reality that was around the time the feds investigating him really heated up so of course he didn’t want to admit that he was about to get squeezed.
As a politician he also became very arrogant in his behavior by doing things like pretending not to know people he’s known for a long time. Or other times if you were talking to him and he didn’t know you he was arrogant and condescending.
His resignation and conviction of his crime is no real loss to the state of hawaii. I’m glad the swamp is being drained and starting with useless politicians like him is a good start.
