Dr. Usha Rajagopal

Negatively impact

I went to Dr. Usha Rajagopal’s San Francisco Plastic Surgery & Laser Center several years ago for Botox in between my eyebrows.

I have congenital posits and explained this to the nurse who would be administering.

The doctor came in for two seconds and said this shouldn’t be an issue – just “be careful” (said to assistant, I believe her name was Annie).

The end result – so much Botox that the one side of my face drooped for almost a week (looked like bells palsy, but it wasn’t ), constant twitching and lid droop so bad that I had to get another eye surgery.

When I called the office, it was dismissed and I was told it wasn’t the botox but that I could come in if I wanted.

I ran, not walked, to another doctor who said it was definitely from the botox. She may be great for standard procedures, I would not go to this practice if you have any underlying medical issues.

I suffered from severe depression as a result of this experience and it took me years to feel good about myself again.

While many practices allow nurses to administer Botox, in my opinion, the doctor should be administering, especially for patients with a history that could negatively impact the outcome.

  1. I'm forever grateful for her and this amazing office!

I’ve had various treatments done at this office over the past year. I have done Botox for jaw slimming, laser hair removal, IPL (Photofacial), Vbeam laser, Juvederm (lip filler) and Coolsculpting.

Dr. Rajagopal is truly the best plastic surgeon. She is always so honest with her recommendations and makes me feel so comfortable. I am always beyond satisfied with my results. I refer all my friends and family to this office. I’m forever grateful for her and this amazing office!

  2. I can't wait to be back!!

I decided to come to Dr. Rajagopal after reading her amazing yelp reviews and she exceeded my expectations. Dr. Rajagopal and her staff were warm and friendly and made me feel comfortable from the start.

It was my first time getting Botox and she took her time explaining the process and what I could expect. I had the procedure a little over a week ago and I absolutely love the results.

It is natural and understated. She definitely earns her reputation as one of the top Plastic Surgeons in the Bay Area. I can’t wait to be back!!

  4. Medium Service Provide

I’ve been in for botox treatments three times now, Nurse Gaia is great. Dr. Usha & staff are very friendly.

  5. Dr. Rajagopal is an artist at what she does.

Dr. Rajagopal is an artist at what she does. I couldn’t be happier with the results or the service I received.

  6. so I found it well priced in addition to being quality work.

I second all the love for Jeannie. I went for laser treatments for skin discolorization and ended up with a tiny bit of Botox as well. Everything was very gentle, considering I’m a huge needle-phobe and Jeannie really knew her stuff.

I continued to go to her even after I had moved out of the area. She gave me and a friend discounts for referring each other, so I found it well priced in addition to being quality work.

  7. Absolutely awful. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I know all the other reviews may be positive, but my surgery was very simple, and she totally messed up. I went to her because I was recommended by a friend who had a similar surgery done. I’m sorely disapointed in her work. The stitches were too tight and ripped my skin making a way bigger scar. I felt the stitches rip and it really hurt.

Also, the doctor herself is really fake. She seems all nice before and during the surgery, but after she’s cold doesn’t even say bye or anything. She doesn’t even say hi to you after the next time you come in. She seems to busy.

  8. This lady is a joke, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I made an appoint with this place to go over their tattoo removal procedures and prices. When I got there the receptionist greeted me and asks me to fill out their application. I waited 5 minute and an Asian lady showed up, she offer us to speak privately in her office.

Next, she ask to see my tattoo, and I showed to her. Her first impression was “oh my” with disbelief. as we continues our consultation, she would periodically asks to see the tattoo, and kept shaking her head and saying “it’s a big tattoo”.

I felt embarrassed by her marketing technique of trying to make me feel more regretted of getting a tattoo. Next she told me how much it will cost for each session. I couldn’t believes what I was hearing, not only was she rude, but she thinks I’m desperate enough to pay 5 times more to have it removed.

  9. Scammer

I give Dr. Rajagopal one star for at least admitting that she made a mistake and for refunding my payment for a botched surgery. She performed my rhinoplasty almost two years ago that resulted in my nose looking worse than before surgery. My nose was extremely uneven and I had tip ptosis.

I was so embarrassed to face people that I took a leave of absence from work. Also, I experienced functional problems like runny nose and not being able to breathe normally. It was such a bad experience. I even recall being able to hear her gossiping with the nurses while I was under intravenous sedation.

  10. This review is based on both the doctor's judgement and assistant's practice in administering Botox.

  11. Also, horrible bedside manner.

Just walk away! Half of these are probably fake reviews. This woman is unethical and has been disciplined by the medical board. Also, horrible bedside manner.

  12. there's a reason why the facility is offering deals.

Initially, i really liked the place. i cam in and the place was nicely decorated and both dr. Rajagopal and her staff are very nice. The only problem is the result–my chin is now crooked…CROOKED. I had filler injected to my chin to make it more prominent (I’m asian).

Immediately after the injection I told Dr. Rajagopal that it is crooked. However, she kept reassuring me its only like that because of the swelling. I believed her because it was my first time and i was completely numbed up anyway.

  14. I am happy with my results and plan on returning for additional treatments.

I am 32 years old right now and I first noticed my hair thinning out around age 25. I wish I knew about the PRP ACell treatment sooner. I’ve been to Dr. Rajagopal’s office for a series of two treatments using two vials each time. After the first session,

I noticed that my hair stopped shedding which is a good sign. I was given realistic expectations by Dr. Rajagopal and the Nurse. Overall, I am happy with my results and plan on returning for additional treatments.

  15. but not good if you want care.

I recently had surgery with Dr Rajagopal. Though I received the results I wanted, the after care we below standards. I had expected more care from her like I had received from my other surgeon. Not only did she not call after the surgery to check on my status,

she didn’t personally see me when I came into the office because I was having difficulties with the healing process. In addition to this, I was never explained what to expect post-opp. She is a good doctor if you want results, but not good if you want care.
