Front Desk Customer Service Was RudeI have been with Tony Lam CPA for many years. Brandon, my tax preparer, was professional, knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly.
However, front desk customer service was rude.
Last year, right after filling my income tax at Tony Lam CPA, I went home and received an additional income tax document by mail.
I wasn’t sure so I called the office. A front desk lady picked up the phone and without hesitation told me that that Brandon is with a client and unable to answer my call.
She then asked me what I needed. I explained that I could’ve missed filling one of the income taxes.
Instead of getting me help, she started being rude. She raised her voice blaming me why I had to hurry (she sounded like I wasted their time and now they have to spend time to correct it).
She made me feel just like an idiot. I was really pissed at the time and I told her that if it’s my fault, I will pay whatever it takes to redo it so no worries…. Long story short, I was able to reach Brandon later in the day and it turned out everything had been well taken care of in first place.
As the result, I did not have to re-filling my income tax. This year, I decide to take it to somewhere else.

I recently went to Mr. Lam office for tax prepare. After done, I walked to waiting area and the receptionist gave a copy. I do not understand why the receptionist said loud how much I will receive the tax return in front of five people are waiting at the waiting area.
The tax preparer discussed with me, there is no need to mention again (dumb!!!) especially financial confidential matter. Mr. Lam, you should get you staffs (tax preparers and front desk helpers) a training how being professional and knowledge what confidential is. I disappointed the incident occurred, hope that your staffs will be served better and knowledge how public relation is.
