St Mary’s Bank
VERY BAD CORPORATE ATTITUDESSince 1993, I’ve been with St Mary’s Bank Credit Union. They’re the first credit union in America.
They were beautiful when they were just a Credit Union. So I thought.
But, my banking needs have grown beyond just a checking or savings account.
Add in the fact that they are now considered a Bank and not just a Credit Union, and St. Mary’s has gone downhill.
It used to be that I didn’t have anything negative to say about them.
This has all changed dramatically. They don’t know how to resolve problems correctly.
They do not set up new accounts correctly, resulting in my losing interest.
They “lost” my account and can’t seem to admit that it’s gone…along with the cash in the account!
Weeks later, the problem is still not solved.
Now I am fighting for my husband’s survival from a brain tumor, and accounts are not on my mind.
They don’t respond to me promptly, so I am frustrated beyond belief.
As soon as I research another bank or credit union, we will be moving our business.
Finally, the home mortgage that we had taken out with St. Mary’s back in January 2015 was taken out twice a month from our checking account to generate an additional mortgage payment at the end of each calendar year.
The auto-payments were initially set up, but they changed the payment to one month during the second year without any explanation or notice.
We didn’t make our extra payment, which was set to lower our mortgage faster.
They only said they no longer created two monthly payments and could not change the arrangement.
It’s more about how the event happened, but that is all it is.
They did not offer any other options, and worse of all, when we went to the bank at the end of the following year and made an extra payment.
The banker at St Mary’s Bank lowered our auto payments to pay less money during the yea.
This eliminates our additional payment and further reduces our efforts to reduce our mortgage.
I’m done dealing with this BANK. After many years of being kind to your members, you now act corporately.
Their CORPORATE ATTITUDES are disgusting to me now!
