Saint Agnes Medical Center

The Nursing Staff Is Beyond Horrible.

My mom is in the Saint Agnes Medical Center. The follow through and care from the nursing staff is beyond horrible.

There was a high need for pain management and when it was time for Medicine there was no staff around, no one answering the phone, and no follow through from anyone you asked for help!

The most frustrating and inexcusable situation! Mom had to wait for 2.5 past her time for pain medication due to no follow though from nursing staff.

The worst experience ever. BELOW ARE THE ISSUES this this hospital have.

No tissue was provide. What hospital has no tissue???

Food came late, they left outside for 45 minutes, it was cold.

NO water was giving after asked. Really? They can bring water??

Machine making noises for 5 hours no one shut it off. Called nurses came by, but no one come back to fix the noises, until and hour later.

The nurse by the name Amy “India people” throw stuff on my mom head.she talks very mean to my mom.

  1. I think this is a heartless hospital.

Two years ago I had a pacemaker replacement procedure at St. Agnes. I checked in early in the morning and should have been released in the early afternoon. Someone in the cath lab punctured my lung. I had to spend the night and incurred the extra charges of a nights stay in the CCU unit.

My insurance, through my employer, covered the majority of the surgery. I have been paying the balance monthly. Without notice St. Agnes turned my account over to a collection agency this month because I still have an outstanding bill and it has been 24 months. My balance had been $685 in July and now it is $826 because it has been sent to a collection agency. I think this is a heartless hospital.

  2. which we found out later wasn't true.

I was transported to the emergency room for a stroke caused by a blockage my wife informed them that I got there within an hour & asked them to give me the stroke medicine they said it would only make it worse, which we found out later wasn’t true.

  3. I will never come back.

My friend gave birth at this hospital this week. I had to stay with her for two nights on the sixth floor. While some of the nurses were exceptionally sweet, most were rude and disrespectful.

They went out of their way to make us feel unwelcome, by refusing her extra pillows (since her back was sore from just giving birth) and snacks when she was hungry because she said it was against the rules (we later found out it wasn’t).

They would stare at us when we would walk down the hallway and talk rudely about us outside our door. From the inappropriate questions they would ask, I’m guessing they were rude because my friend is eighteen and African American.

  4. will hopefully correct their wrongs.

To even give this place one star is ridiculous. I cannot even begin to state that this place is awful. Sure, they may treat you well and in a timely manner, if they feel up to it. I went in for some chest pains not too long ago and was seen fairly quickly.

That was only because the ER was not full as per its usual daily routine. They ran some tests and only gave me pain pills. Charging over $3000 for this is out right ridiculous. I could have just gone to a local drug store to buy some strong pain killers for much much less.

I will never return nor recommend anyone going any where near such a tainted business. Luckily, people are retaliating for good reason, and will hopefully correct their wrongs.

  5. this was wrong!

the worst service i mean bad ! er staff is un human i had a kidney stone and was treated as if i was there only cause i wanted pain meds . this was wrong!

  6. Sad sad for St Agnes.

Why are these people in the medical profession? After 7 hours of waiting we spent maybe 3 minutes with the doc and no blood work was done, only an ultrasound and a urinalysis for tea colored blood in the urine and was given a diagnosis of…you guessed it…

blood in the urine. I wont go into detail of how much this cost but……it was expensive especially to be told you had what went into the emergency room for. Sad sad for St Agnes.

  7. Horrible care!!

HORRIBLE!!!!! Was like visiting another country. Children screaming, people moaning and crying in pain and w – a- i -t ing for hours. A Emergency room is dirty: liquids (who knows what) on the floors, splashes of other colorful liquids on equipment, etc.

A diabetic needed to eat and waited 3 hours for some jello served with a fork, two others asked for water and waited 2 and 4 hours to get some and one was told to quit asking! Arrived around 7 PM.

Horrible care!!! Nobody that works there seems to care about the patients, only about strolling down the halls chatting and laughing and finding something for themselves to eat! Nurses were rude and mean to the patients. People were sick and in pain… where is the compassion?

  8. I will never go here again.

This ER is horrible. Wasn’t very busy when we got there. However, we were there so long it got so busy we kept getting pushed back. We were there for hours before we were even seen.

Presented with severe abdominal and chest pain with shortness of breath. Still not seen by a doctor. Explained to them I know how ER’s work. They have nursing protocols that allow nurses to administer meds without the doctor seeing the patient. They denied it which is a lie. I will never go here again.

  9. I would discourage anyone from applying to this facility.

Went for a job interview, spent 3 days in Fresno for this interview. I never heard back from them, not a phone call or email message was sent to me to tell me I did not get the position.

The teams I met with were very dysfunctional, they complained about being downsized and did not make you feel welcomed to be there. I would discourage anyone from applying to this facility.

  12. not even call that they couldn't show up on days they scheduled.

Following my son being discharged, he required short term assistance from Saint Agnes Home Healthcare Program to check his surgical wound to ensure the dressings were being done correctly and that there was no infection forming.

Saint Agnes Home Healthcare program provided terrible service, but mostly no service in my opinion. They frequently called the wrong telephone number after being given the number to call several times, failed to show up, and not even call that they couldn’t show up on days they scheduled.

  13. I give Saint Agnes no star!!!

Saint Agnes Emergency room employees.. Does not care about their patients well being.. My husband pains scale from 1-10 his was a 20+ and on top of that we have been waiting for over 5 hours.. We are never coming back here never and I would not recommend Saint Agnes.. I give Saint Agnes no star!!!

  14. Came in with food poisoning.

Came in with food poisoning. Waited in the triage waiting room for at least 1.5 hours before I finally got in.

Then when I got in I had to wait another 1.5 hours. Patience ran thin and left. Wasn’t going to pay for just sitting around. Terrible business!

  15. Horrible.

The nurses or scheduler gave me the impression that they didn’t care based on their tone, pauses, or sighs over the phone, and frequently managed to miss schedule appointments.

All but one of the nurses was very short with my wife on the phone, and be prepared to hear “I’m really sorry” during every contact, especially when they tell you they won’t be coming out that day after all.

We never felt that we could count on the Saint Agnes Home Healthcare program which added additional anxiety to my wife who had to play nurse for my adult son’s surgical would.

We would not recommend anyone to go to Saint Agnes Hospital or use the Saint Agnes Home Healthcare Program.
