Kevin Delano Elite Pools and Servic...

Zero business etiquette

My neighbor referred me to Kevin Delano for monthly pool service and maintenance.

The first time I talked to him, he was already making demands and letting me know that everything needed to be done his way, even if it was your pool.

It should have been a red flag right there, but I thought I’d give him a try and agree on a set price over the phone.

The first week, I stayed four minutes. He sent my invoice the next day, and the monthly fee was $5 extra with no advanced notice whatsoever.

The second week, I made sure to check the pool and the camera footage in the backyard. Nothing had been done. Another red flag should have gotten rid of him then.

The pool was dirty with leaves, no tablets, and baskets were still full of debris.

It was a windy day prior, so I thought to give him a call to ask him what may have happened, and his response was quote, “I am not going to stay an hour to clean the pool when it is a windy day.

I am not going to get your pool clean every time.”

His favorite line is “you can find another pool service” to get a reaction out of you, just like a little kid does. He said this and then hung up on me.

This was the worst service and person I ever dealt with in my 15 years living in Vegas. He constantly complains about how difficult the job is and makes demands about repairs.

He always asks for payment upfront and tries to get as much money out of you. Once service/repair is agreed upon and payment is made, he tries to test the limits of pissing you off until there is no choice but to fire him, even though nothing has been done. Pretty good scam, though.

It is obvious he does not want or cannot keep new clients. He inherited this route from another person, and I figure his clients think he provides the same service, and he uses that to his advantage to do the bare minimum.

There is several Elite Pool(s) Service online, but none of them are him. There is no way to read any reviews or get information about his company.

I felt the responsibility to provide information company so he does rip off another fellow Las Vegans. His name and phone number are Kevin Delano (702) 301-1848, and his company is Elite Pools Cleaning and Service.
