Erik Larson – HomeSmart Real ...
Lack Of CommunicationWe were doing a real estate transaction with our friend in Colorado and Erik was brought in as a local agent to help.
When we were first given his name, we called three times before he returned our call. When we were first scheduled to meet him to look at a property he was half an hour late.
We wanted to submit a bid, but Erik did not do so, and in the interim, we found another property.
When we wanted to look at that property, he was an hour late. In all the time we dealt with Erik, he never answered his phone.
It always took a concerted effort on our part to get in touch with him. We found a perfect property that we were totally in love with, yet Erik did not get a bid on that one either. So disappointed!
When we finally found the condo we are living in now, there were a number of problems due to lack of communication – not being able to put our things in storage in said garage, wrong information on the bid, wrong dates with closing.
There was a document Erik promised to prepare on a Thursday, yet he didn’t do it until Saturday night when most people are at their leisure – we had to answer 10 text messages for such a simple letter.
When it was time for the inspection – guess who was late? Again! Throughout our entire time working with him, he was never on time, he never answered our phone calls, never admitted to being wrong, had a million excuses and explanations.
If he expects to survive in this industry which is so heavily based on customer service and satisfaction, he better get a new perspecitve about he treats people and what a professional is expected to do.
