Equitable Mortgage Corp

Wast of Time

For one of the biggest financial decision of our lives, using Equitable Mortgage Corp was a huge mistake.

They appear to be very disorganized and gave us conflicting instructions several times.

They spent the first month we were in contract (to buy) doing exactly nothing.

They waited until the week of closing to ask for copies of divorce decrees.

They didn’t have their stuff ready until 5 days after the contract closing date (they took 8 weeks instead of 7).

All in all, we’ve both dealt with better, more professional, more knowledgeable, and more service oriented mortgage companies.

Save yourself the aggravation.

  1. Would highly recommend them, and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

We began working with David Sherman at Equitable Mortgage back in August 2017 as first time home buyers. Prior to working with David, I was very anxious about the process and the financial aspect of such a large purchase. David was extremely helpful in giving us the information we needed, in easy to understand terms for us first timers.

Even when a family emergency arose for David, Equitable went above and beyond to complete a smooth and timely closing for us. Bruce Calabrese, John Haring, Misty Harvey were all involved with completing our mortgage process and I couldn’t be happier with ALL the help that we received. Would highly recommend them, and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

  2. Quite poor customer service.

Quite poor customer service. They don’t answer their phones or respond to messages on their voice mail. We bailed early but feel sorry for people that stuck around and actually tried to close a loan. Their loan application itself was a mix of different loans and a waste of time for us to fill out.
