NIGHTMARE! Our experience was nothing less than a nightmare. We chose Crestline Funding because I heard their radio ad saying that they do not charge points and ended up paying a point. Truth in advertising??? I think not!

From beginning to end this was a total disaster. We would send information and everything would be quiet, as another has said, and then they wanted more.

And this went on and on and on. They continued to blame one of two reasons for the constant delays: 1) their underwriter and 2) the patriot act.

This went on non-stop for weeks and weeks and weeks. It was like we were the first customer they had ever had in their life.

The left hand didn’t seem to know what the right hand was doing. Escrow closed late in part because of their delays.

We finally came to the opinion that their underwriter must have learned how to process a residential loan from one of those “Dummies” books because they kept asking for more and more like they knew they needed something but not sure what it was.

The account manager would then say that if we didn’t give the underwriter what they were asking for then the loan might be canceled.

Case in point, we told them we would NOT sign a document that made absolutely NO SENSE to us and was incorrect in our opinion.

We were told that the underwriter might deny the loan.

The very next day we were sent another piece of paper to sign that said exactly the opposite of what they wanted us to sign the day before and we would not sign. Just absolutely nuts!!

There were SO many aggravations and delays and delays but we were so far in they had us stuck unless we really wanted to start all over again with another company.

We have gone through seven residential home loans over a number of years and they were so easy.

CRESTLINE FUNDING MADE IT AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.

At one point I asked that the owner of the company, who is in the advertisement, call me regarding this awful loan process….of course, he never called.

When people ask me what I would do differently if I started this loan process again I tell them, without any hesitancy, that I would GO DIRECTLY WITH A BANK !

Why I thought this would be easier I have no idea, but it was such an awful experience.

WE WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN!

    We too heard the ads on the radio and decided to call. They actually help me out of a tight spot in which I could get no other lender to do so. When it came to refinancing that loan, I didn’t even shop. This was a very positive experience and I would recommend them to any looking for a loan, of any kind!

    Sam Chui is the very BEST! My refinance was a little complicated, but Sam was very professional and was there for me all the way. He was always available to answer questions, and lead me through the process as effortless as possible. I highly recommend him.

    Todd Krekos is amazing! He worked so hard for me to get my refi and he is very smart and knows how to work around obstacles. Not just someone who fills out paperwork but someone who makes it happen if at all possible.

    I just made it by a hair all because of him. He was always patient with me and explained everything. If you want someone who will give 110%…he’s your guy.

    Excellent Credit…I guess the LTV is a little to high..which requires us to get PMI..which i heard the same thing from the big rip off banks that are in business only because of mine and other Americans tax money.
    So I thought I would give old Scott Brown a try..since he runs his mouth about making his own rules and it’s his own money..bla bla bla..Crestline Founding another farce!!

  7. I would have dropped this company yesterday.

    The biggest problem with this company is that they don’t keep the customer informed of anything. They have a total I don’t give a dam attitude. No sure why they even advertise or took my call. Really sorry for going through this company. Have been working with a Gerry Aguon. He claims he’s a senior loan consultant.

    Really hope consultant doesn’t mean the same thing it does in other businesses. Oh top it all off, because the loan has been taking so long, I’ve been told the rate lock needs an extension and another several hundreds to make it happen. If the loan wasn’t so far along, I would have dropped this company yesterday.

    The next thing you know something happened on their end and was told a new appraisal was needed. No reason why. No timeline given. Had no idea when the next appraiser would arrive.

    A few calls and some real pushing after two and half months since the process was started, the appraisal was completed. Since that time it has been one mess after another. More paperwork, resubmit again, etc. Nothing happening, loan stalled, no reason given again.

    Worst company ever. It’s been four months, four months and still no re-fi. Excuse after excuse. Credit excellent, ability to pay – perfect, no late payments or fees ever, real clean slate. You would think that would make the loan process easy and smooth. Nothing but the opposite. Even had the entire check list they required completed and sent in a timely manner.

    Have had to resubmit the paper work to them over and over. Constant re-checking on the same items/paper work. A week went by without even one email or text message. No reason given.

    Left many calls asking on the loan status with no reply back. Someone dropped the ball because finally after about month, an appraiser was sent out. The appraisal was done and everything seemed a go – finally.

    Rob helped me in everyway that he could going through some health issues at the time of our transaction I needed more than most and he took some much needed pressure away that normally would have created frustration on our part, Rob went in our opinion beyond his duties as a dedicated employee to assist us.   11. This is a switch and bait company.

    This is a switch and bait company. They do not tell you up front that there are closing costs to be paid unless you apply for a loan of $600K or over.

    The sales rep I spoke with was rude and did not want to answer basic questions unless I gave personal information first.

    Worst experience ever! After receiving an Pre-approval letter, initial loan request was declined and had to be routed through a different lender but not before costing us over $6000 in storage fees because we moved all our stuff out of our home and had to place in storage.

    Our old home was sold but we could not move into new home for over 3 months! Most painful experience I have ever faced……never again! Called President and CFO twice with no response. Horrible service!

  15. DON'T USE CRESTLINE!!!

    Since May all of the way to now…still no refi. Today our tax form was requested for a third time!!! We needed our refi right away!!! Never going to refer anyone to Crestline.

    Horrible that our lives were in the hands of someone that didn’t care! He just received a “Great” review from someone else so….he must be helping other people just not us!! DON’T USE CRESTLINE!!!
