Cardinal Financial

Chris Himself Was EXTREMELY Rude

HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE Cardinal Financial! We were working with Chris Berg and everyone there for a MONTH trying to get a simple pre-approval letter, getting bounced around, put to the side, and Chris himself was EXTREMELY rude through out this process- we just switched to another company and within 24 HOURS we’ve got our approval letter!

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! It will only be a waste of your time!

  1. Worst ever company to use!

We did a refi with cardinal financial and it was the worst experience!
We started in late January when I was 5.5 months pregnant and they finished the process in August when my son turned 3 months old!
The whole customer service is a joke!
U can’t even talk to someone, they just keep passing u to different departments without any clear answer!
We did a refi for another property at the same time with a smaller company and they did it just in 3 weeks!

    Stay away from this company!
I’m glad for our case it was Refi not a purchase else don’t know how we could survive!

  2. They were awesome--and because of them we are now blessed to be in our first home!

Fantastic service in Merced CA–Rob our primary lender, and Tony, his colleague, were the ultimate professionals throughout our lending process–as 1st time home-buyers we had lots of questions and took up many hours of their time.

Bob made himself available all times of the day and night, explained everything in detail, answered multiple questions several times-sometimes the same ones over and over. Rob was very specific about what was needed, even came by to pick up the paperwork to make it more convenient for us. Was very personable, patient, very honest and transparent.

Just very accommodating. Cardinal got us qualified quickly so we could get started on the house hunting. Once house selected, we were processed and closed within 4 weeks. Both Rob and Tony came to the closing, though only one person was required–nice to have them both finish out the process.

We don’t like paperwork, but they made it flow, quick and easy and painless! Absolutely no complaints -we would recommend them for any of your lender needs. They were awesome–and because of them we are now blessed to be in our first home!

  3. My experience with Cardinal was pretty bad.

My experience with Cardinal was pretty bad. I had been pre-approved, spent $475 on an appraisal, waited almost 30 days, and was within one day of closing before they decided I wouldn’t be approved. The reason? I had indicated that I might change jobs sometime next year.

That’s it. Although I have excellent credit going back 20+ years, make a good income, and have shown no proclivity to be a deadbeat. Now I am back to square one, and out the appraisal cost. My advice would be to have several options available if you decide to work with Cardinal.

  4. Scammer

But more specifically this agent, Deanna Collins who’s title with Cardinal Financial aka. Sebionic Financial is “Senior Loan Originator | NMLS 68009 | NMLS 68009” provides erroneous information consistently.

Once again this is my opinion based on facts gained by telephone and email conversations with this agent. Information such as interest rates. Information such as costs for services to refinance.

Given the precarious position Cardinal Financial put me in I had no choice but to absorb all ancillary costs which I would not have done so otherwise. Quite the contrary, I would have run from this establishment and more specifically this agent.

I also found this agent to be very unprofessional. She never responds directly to questions specific to the loan directly once the process starts, instead passes it onto a coordinator. This is specific to loan terms and costs aside from shifting paperwork (which I understand would be held by a transaction coordinator)

Please be very careful working with Cardinal Financial, Aka, Sebonic Financial and even more so with this loan agent, Dianna Collins.

  5. more thanIf I could give them zero stars I would.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company nor do I EVER plan on using this company again. Unprofessional, un-organized, mortgage lender blamed their staff for their mistakes, asked over 15 times for the same documents because they lost them or accidentally deleted them.

The entire loan process was not finalized until the actual closing date which is absurd considering I have bought multiple properties in the past (obviously not using Cardinal Financial). Huge mistake. I will never recommend them to any friends or family.

They really need to get their act together and to educate themselves on how to properly deal with customers yet alone learning the mortgage and real estate business. Sad that we knew more than our lender as well as our realtor kept pointing out red flags. more thanIf I could give them zero stars I would.
