California Digestive Disease Center
No Empathy For Their ClientsCalifornia Digestive Disease Center has no empathy for their clients. Myself and my pharmacy has been trying to get Dr. Dhillon to sign an authorization for one of prescriptions for TWO MONTHS.
I HAVE to have this prescription and I HAVE to have pre-authorization to do so. I’ve called, the pharmacy has called. CRICKETS.
Recently they’ve had me come in to get samples, telling me the authorization will be signed by the end of the week.
The samples they gave me WERE’NT EVEN THE CORRECT DOSE, as they said they only had the lower dose and to “try that”.
Now I’m out of samples because I had to double up. It’s Friday, the end of the week and guess what? STILL NO CALL OR FAX TO MY PHARMACY.
I’ve tried to call the office and can only leave a message for apparently the ONLY person in that office to help me.
When I first started going here, they were great. Now it seems like they don’t really care about their patients who depend on their medication DAILY.
I’m appalled that there is absolutely NO urgency to try and rectify this.
It’s maddening and has made me feel the need to search for another doctor.
This is a poor business practice that
The one star is for the office staff. They will lie to you about sending paperwork to your insurance (we’ll do that today and 3 days later they have not) and wait until the last minute to submit pre-authorization requests.
One slip up and that last minute turns into a missed appointment while someone struggles with the symptoms that their primary doctor referred them out for (not to mention the stress of wondering if things will get done in the run up to their last minute submissions).
This is a poor business practice that, ultimately, reflects on the facility. The doctors themselves are great, but they need to re-staff their back office with people who understand that they are dealing with people’s lives, emotional, and physical well being.
