Requested stop payment on a check for $430 at Tcf Bank . Teller completed the form and said everything in order.
Check was paid because teller requested stop payment for only one day, the day I requested stop payment.
When I visited this branch and asked what happened a teller said they would check and call. No call.
Went to branch and staff explained the error the teller made and was told I would receive call from branch manager.
No call. Again I went to the branch and confronted the branch manager.
She said she would handle and talk to regional manager about reimbursement and call.
I have NEVER received a follow-up call from the branch manager.
I managed customer service in the financial industry (mutual funds and a bank) for more than 30 years.
This is the worst experience I have ever had. I would NEVER do business with this branch or bank.
