  1. Fake Hard Drive Scam

SUBJECT: 4x Toshiba Hard Drives (Shipment 889900045889 / DHL Tracking 5017110659591347)

I received the 4x Toshiba Hard Drives 4 days ago. Paid COD RM460 to the driver.

When I opened the package, I connected it to my computer, tried to format it but it failed. When I tried to partition it, realised there is a big problem with the drives. What I did was tore open the casing, found no hard drives inside the casing. Instead, found huge metal pieces inside to make it weigh more.

I’ve since contacted DHL eCommerce, DHL Malaysia, and even called the driver. DHL wouldn’t refund me, as they told me the funds had already been sent to the seller. They told me to email the seller instead, at [email protected]

According to your Facebook advertisement, which I found this deal, many people posted this as a big scam. Their comments had been deleted, and their comments were barred, and that included my very own comment on the thread. This is ridiculous and should not be accepted.

  2. Scam from Facebook HDD sales.

The same, I order 2TB Hard disk x 2 for RM280/= which I decide to cancel while I read about the scam. Somehow it was deliver to my home while I am out and my family paid RM280 for it. When I reach home 10 min after the call. I test it and it fail to format. Decide to open it up and found it a cheat as it 40GB old IDE hard disk inside it. Will report to polis tomorrow.

  3. I am one of the VICTIM TOO!! DUN buy anything from this dealer. Total SCAM!

I am also one of the VICTIM! DHL may be involved in this, i would say they are partly responsible. I still cannot believe the crap that DHL told. AM ready to escalate the case to consumer council and the press. Let them be famous.
