I got an email from Hansford university and another email from Graduate in minutes regarding a degree program. The email ids used were [email protected]rduniversity.com and [email protected] but I could make out that the universities were related.
To check in detail about the courses, I clicked on their link in the email and was redirected to the registration page. I registered to check what it was all about. It asked for my phone number and other details.
I put in the information and clicked on register. I was not even able to go through their website, I received a call from +1 302 526 1253 which was a USA number. The guy on the call asked me to join the online chat to make me aware of the options available at Graduate in Minutes.
He also confirmed that both the universities, Hansford and Graduate in Minutes are same. After I joined the online conversation, I was redirected to the personal chat with Alex Martin. He told me that he was the consultant and would be assisting me in choosing the right course and would also help me through registration process.
He explained that the adult program that they offer does not require any study material and the grading will be done on the personal experience and knowledge. He told me that I will have to prove my knowledge in the field of work and that will be converted into grades.
I was excited to know that I would be able to earn a degree with my practical knowledge and not through classroom sessions. The idea seemed overwhelming and I agreed for completing the registration.
Alex told me about the 4 steps for getting the certification completed. According to him, the first step will be completing the registration with $200. Once the registration will be completed, I will have to go through the interview which will be recorded and assessed. The third step will be verification of my personal documents. Last will be the certification courier to my registered address.
All these would come up for $500. I paid the registration fees of $200 and he gave me the URL: www.hansforduniversity.com for my virtual office. However, I was surprised to see that few of the functions were not working on the website. I tried to change my photo and other information, but it did not let me do so.
I thought of trying it next day and I still wasn’t able to. So, I checked for more information on internet about the university and its virtual office page. I found out about its scam and immediately called my bank to cancel the credit card and filed the transaction dispute.
I know things would be back to norm
al but I want to warn you guys about this nonsense university and its fake courses. Do not share your details with Hansford University. It will rip you off.
