This review is about Dr Jenny Griswold. My husband and I moved to the San Jose are a few months ago and thought she would be a good pediatrician for our son, who was 8 months old at the time.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We didn’t want to misjudge based on the 1st appointment.
We all have bad day’s, right? But despite giving her several chances, our experiences with her were always the same.
She is cold, straight to the point, and not very engaging or warm. She is in and out of that room before you can even crack a smile.
Our former pediatrician was amazing! We loved him! And we really wanted to find someone that would be warm and inviting like he was.
He always made us feel like he genuinely cared about our son. He took the time to get to know him, and us!
During every visit, he would try to play with our son or talk to him, just to make our son feel comfortable around him.
We loved his bedside manners and the way he would conduct his visits.
He made us feel like he was a friend and we could trust him with our son.
With Dr Griswold, we did not feel this way at all. My husband described her as an “assembly line doctor”.
Whenever we had to bring our son for one of his monthly check-ups, or the few times he caught the flu, she would always be very cold and barely engage with our son or barely even touch him!
She would just ask us straight general questions about how he is doing, write a prescription, and send us off!
I wouldn’t say she is a bad doctor, because although she always seemed very cold and detached with us and our son, she did go through every question necessary to make sure our son was okay.
But she seemed very “text book” to me. She made me realize how good we had it with our former doctor. So much that we’ve moved our son a different practice!
I’m sorry to have to write such a bad review, but its important that parents really feel comfortable about who is looking after their children, and being warm and caring and have that “doctor’s touch”, especially towards our little ones comes 1st.
