Dr. Douglas Haghighi has got to be the most unprofessional medical business office I have ever tried to communicate with and experience.
I am writing about my experience with the particular office on behalf of a patient (my father).
We were referred to Dr. Haghighi as a secondary opinion for a cancer diagnosis.
Not sure why this was appropriate to begin with since he is a gastroenterologist.
But besides that, an available appointment wasn’t until 2 months after the initial staging with the primary physician.
Once we finally did see the Doctor, the office took another 2 months coming up with a treatment plan.
We were told this was after “consulting” with doctors in Seattle (don’t actually know if this took place) for over 6 weeks, though the treatment plan he came up with for the cancer patient was a colonoscopy and nothing to do with cancer.
When we tried to obtain files to see an oncologist for appropriate treatment and care, the office assistant hung up on us after stating HIPAA policy violation though we have been previously authorized by the patient and there is a signed waiver authorization on file.
The most unprofessional staff and most unpleasant experience during this difficult time.
