I am purchasing a home and was seeking a consultation with a tax professional to better understand allowances and deductions. I expected to pay for this service.
When I called the receptionist told me that they were too busy to help me with that type of thing because of tax season.
She suggested I call back in a few weeks, this was before I could even establish how urgently I needed the service (it wasn’t urgent but she didn’t care to check).
She sounded friendly but didn’t offer to schedule me an appointment.
If it was that busy they would have been better off letting everything go to voicemail and then help people when they had bandwidth to be professional.
