Put the dust covered instrument in my mouth

I walk into this place today for a teeth cleaning and X-rays. A young lady sits me down in the X-ray room and leaves to get some instruments (that she was going to put in my mouth). While she was gone, I noticed how dusty everything was. It was like the room doesn’t get used much.

When the young lady returned, she then placed the open instruments on a dusty counter while she put the vest on me. Before she got the chance to put the dust covered instrument in my mouth, I swiped my finger across the counter and showed her how much dust was there. My finger tip was covered.
Do not send your children here. I couldn’t believe it.When explaining this to who I believe may have been a manager, I received attitude and a back turned, walking away “apology”.the young lady at the front desk was very polite. I blame her for nothing.

  1. That is extremely unprofessional, and I plan on changing him to another dentist as soon as I find one

I’ve been taking my son here for quite a while and at first I liked it but as time went on I started to notice how many of the nurses /assistants whatever they’re called are so impatient with my son also rude! My son has ADHD so it’s extremely hard for him to sit still and get any work done in his mouth, instead of being understanding since it’s a child dentist,

the nurses would get irritated with him and even told him at the end of one visit as she handed him stickers that he didn’t deserve them because he didn’t sit still …That is extremely unprofessional, and I plan on changing him to another dentist as soon as I find one

  2. and not overcrowding to make a buck, forego this place.

Soooo…. living in NY we are use to waiting, however 2 hour waits are a bit excessive. Staff “tried” to be polite, but the visit took all of 2 minutes for them to say you have to schedule another appointment. It’s not the first time we have had to wait 2 hours even with a scheduled appointment, this time we decided to state our disapproval.

Lesson learned here is that they are inconsiderate, and give no F***ks about the time spent to get to this appointment. I think we will look for a similar dentist office but with more time savvy staff and local (damn Aetna). If you find a dentist with more parking, friendlier and considerate staff, and not overcrowding to make a buck, forego this place.
