Moira Holley is a real estate agent who deals exclusively in luxury home listings. We contacted her by phone regarding our luxury home — we were interested in putting it on the market. When we told her we live in Granite Falls, she immediately dismissed us, saying there weren’t any luxury homes in Granite Falls.
She even went so far as to tell us that we wouldn’t get more than $1.6 million, even though she had never seen our home, read the MLS listing, or gathered other important data that would assist her in arriving at a figure like this. It was clear she was just pulling it out of thin air. She promised us a return phone call the next day. It never came — she does not honor her promises.
Our home is a chalet-style dwelling with near 9,000 square feet, 7 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, an indoor heated pool, two saunas, a separate guest cottage, with river frontage and 2.5 acres of wooded property surrounding, just to name a few of its stunning qualities.
Moira is one of those people who believes that luxury does not exist outside of Seattle or the Eastside. It does in fact exist in Granite Falls, no matter how condescending or dismissing she wants to be. I would not recommend her as a real estate agent. Just because she sells high- end properties doesn’t mean she has to be a high-end snob.
