Being a customer with good credit report and great relations with finance companies, I have done quite a few refinancing of my mortgage without any pain. It has always been a pleasant experience. However, Aurora Financial was the one who made me realize the frustration that happens after choosing an amateur company.
Given all that they wanted, all I got was rejection. Janet Johnson was my loan officer and was really unprofessional and irresponsible. She told me many times that the loan was about to be accepted and is held back for some documentation. They kept asking for one or the other paper, all the time. There was no timely instructions and all at the last minute. I cooperated a lot and got everything that they wanted.
I got a call from them at 4:00 PM, the day which was supposed to be the closing day. The guy on the other end informed me that the person at my office was not cooperating and was not providing the final paper that was needed by the underwriter. They asked me to communicate with them and get that paper as soon as possible.
Being a Friday, it was difficult for me to get that right away. However, I have been employed with them for 20 years and because of my track record, they went ahead of their responsibilities and gave me the paper. The human resource secretory wrote that paper and got it signed by the manager. I handed that paper to the loan officer on time.
The team at my office informed me about the blunt attitude of the underwriter and told me that they had been writing it since morning and making changes as specified. I was quite angry after listening at their concern.
Later, on another closing date, I was called for the final say on the loan and was given the bad news in front of the loan officer and other members. They referred about inconsistencies in the loan application and while I tried to know about those inconsistencies, I understood that they purposefully misrepresented my answers. Whatever they were objecting was clearly mentioned in my credit report.
This could have saved time and I could have easily got through the loan process. The inexperienced people sitting at the office and their rude attitude, makes it difficult to be in sync with the loan process.
They put all the effort in making customers suffer and take pleasure in their misery. How great values Aurora implants in its employees. It was not very professional. I was aggravated and was ripped off. They took my money and made me invest my time by taking leaves at my work to gain nothing. Aurora does not care about its customers and uses them to learn their job for worse.
I am very frustrated for making a decision that made me pay to such a great extent. I could have done my research and I am sure I could have found many complaints listed against them.
