DO NOT DEAL WITH Asian Services. My family has been dealing with a tax refund mixup for the past 10 months.
By running a trace with the IRS and our bank, we discovered that our $3,000 refund was deposited to another person’s bank account.
When we first worked with Le Nguyen the preparer, she and the company were approachable and friendly, of course.
But how do really know how a company is? By their follow up customer service.
This place ranks below the IRS in terms of rudeness, punctuality, and general efficiency.
Just today, I have had the phone hung up on me 3 times. On the fourth attempt, the receptionist told me that she was “too busy to talk to me”.
Eventually, I pestered her enough to connect me to the preparer, Le Nguyen.
I tried to explain the situation, which was difficult due to her frequent interruptions to make excuses on why she was delaying fixing her mistake.
I reminded her that we signed legal documents specifying the correct bank account and recipient.
I even told her we had the IRS’s validation and proof that this was an error of Asian Services.
After finally getting my words through, Le Nguyen told me that I was bothering her, that’s she’s been reminded of this many times with our family bugging her about it, and that she cannot help me right now.
Then she hung up the phone without an apology or at least directing me to someone who can help. Shady.
If you want a cheap service and can afford to have your money irresponsibly deposited in somebody else’s bank account, this is the place for you.
You pay for what you get, and Asian Service is a great example of cheap, dirty, and deceitful business.
There are too many other options to help you with your finances, please don’t give yourself a migraine over this.
