Alaska Spine and Pain Center
This Clinic does not do pain managementI would highly suggest NOT going to Alaska Spine and Pain Center. I first and asked them if they took my specific insurance. They said yes.
I gave them my referral paperwork with the codes I was authorized.
They obviously did not pay any attention to it.
I was seen by Doctor Craig and then given an appointment for massage therapy. My referral reflected I needed pain management.
This Clinic does not do pain management. By the time I had three medicinal massages I asked how much my bill was going to be.
Each massage was quoted at $375. None of that was on my referral.
They did submit it to my insurance company and of course was turned down and denied because they’re not covered under my company.
Even after I talked to their accounting person she still said they were covered under the insurance company. So I am on the hook for almost $1,500 for three visits.
They obviously care more about their money than their patients.
If you do use them, make sure up front that you are covered under your insurance company and ask what their prices are before any treatment.
I have used other clinics and was never billed that much. They don’t tell you up front what their prices are.
My expensive mistake for not asking.
