This was my first experience with a dating site. I had never before tried any site like this before and wasn’t aware of what to look for. I did not subscribe right away and though of trying it for free for some time. After I signed up, I started getting messages, tons of them. I wanted to check those messages. But, it asked for the credit card detail.
So, I subscribed for a month. I wanted it to work. After many failed relationships, I decided to find love on a dating site. I had heard many love stories that started on dating sites and ended into strong marriage ties. But, those weren’t from this website, I guess. The experience I had was worst. I was scammed.
When I signed up, I tried to upload my photo. I was given alert messages that the picture could not be approved for following reasons. There were few reasons and my photo passed all the test. But, it could not be uploaded. What the heck. Moving on, I started talking to people who messaged me. For times, it seemed like it was all automated. I was getting similar replies from many accounts.
The message would come up with a decent photo. However, after I would click on the message to check the profile, the picture would change. This happened a lot of times. The entire month, I could not get hold of single profile who would have interested me in personal meeting.
So, I tried to delete the account, I could not. I called the customer care and asked them to delete the account. The lady did the same. I was not able to login further to my account. I thought that the profile for gone for good. However, my credit card was charged the next month again for the subscription I had already cancelled.
Hence, I called them again and asked them to cancel the subscription as well as account. I also asked them for a refund. As expected, the guy this time on the phone, denied. He said that nothing is refundable. And, suggested me to wait for the month. He assured that the money won’t be deducted any further. He said he did the needful.
I was furious. However, they were adamant about giving me the refunds. It was a scam. I was charged for the subscription that was cancelled the last month itself. But, no one from customer care cared to listen about it.
The next month, the card was charged again. However, this time, they attempted 15 times to deduct the amount and could not get through. My bank cancelled the card believing it as scam. Thank god! At least, this month, I was saved.
I will have to wait for the new card though. I guess, I can afford to live without my credit card for some time now. This is a scam, a big scam. These guys misrepresent themselves and lure customers to pay for their phoney services.
