YES! Communities

WORST EXPERIENCE

WORST EXPERIENCE WITH YES! COMMUNITIES. I’ve been trying to sell my house as a loan assumption for 5 MONTHS now.

The bank and my sales person Analy aren’t giving me ANY answers on why it hasn’t closed or when it will close.

The buyer put in an application in NOV. According to the bank, Yes didn’t even send the application to them until JAN and now it’s end of FEB and still NOTHING.

What is really irritating is the fact that clearly don’t think the sale of my house is important.

Maybe they are discriminating me and my sale because it’s just a loan assumption and not a regular sale.

Furthermore, I have seen them sell a regular sale in a WEEK. but we are about to be on month FIVE of trying to sell my house.

I have lived in this community for YEARS. I have followed all rules and been extremely patient when it took them FOUR months to complete the purchase of my house.

I have dealt with their old office managers that were doing shady things, I’ve dealt with other residents not following rules, maintenance not getting done when I rented (and I have emails to prove it) and posted nice reviews when your employees and corporate asked me to because they didn’t have enough, EVEN THOUGH I’ve had nothing but issues.

So please someone tell my why my house is taking so long to sell!? I’ve been polite and courteous this far (I have all emails) but I’m done playing nice while everyone pushes me to the back burner!

Stay away, you’ll thank me later. P.S. Analy seems to be the only one working hard on this.

  1. Despicable Extortion

I bought a mobile \ and rent the land with Yes Communities
My wife and I are 67 and 64 yrs old . Victims of a rip-off by manager Adam Day. He stole money from my bank account for damages on the skirting of my home.
And now he threatened us with a 60 day to evacuate the land.
This is a criminal action, abusive behavior of the worst kind.

  2. My family has been here for 2 generations..one time late..the want the eviction of me to take my home and put my animals out also.

They gave me an eviction with the wrong name. And I’m paying it up tomorrow…They are trying to evict me a senior citizen and put my cats out in the streets..Where is Peta..where is abuse of senior citizens.. Corporate goes to the same judges and the government side with corporate. Remember it’s been said.. these same people make good people bad

  3. ADA compliance is not a concern for YES

The moment I asked for a reasonable accommodation for my disability, the bullying by management began. They flat out said that they don’t accommodate disabilities, and they don’t care about working with elderly tenants to avoid fining them for being unable to perform the maintenance we are expected to do on their property (despite the fact that they themselves to not maintain common areas). After I filed an ADA complaint over the first incident, I have had them refuse to allow my service dog into the office several times. They insisted on documentation from my doctor, which, despite it being illegal for them to require it, I provided. I was still not allowed to bring my service dog into the office after they got my doctors note, and they refuse to respond to the specific accommodation my doctor asked for on behalf of my service dog which is just to be allowed to put up a small dog pen in my yard so he can use the bathroom when I’m unable to walk him. The bullying has taken many forms from verbal abuse to literally flipping me off while I’m in my yard. I ended up running a background check on the managers because they use intimidation and threats against tenants all the time. The results were disturbing and included charges for fraud, assault, and suspended real estate licenses in another state. They are now threatening to evict me for running a background check which is my right under the Freedom of Information Act, because arrest records are PUBLIC RECORDS. What I have heard from other tenants is that they typically bully those who own their homes rather than renting them because if they are able to evict home owners who can’t afford to move their trailer, they get to steal their home and resell it. It’s a complete and total scam and should be investigated by the DOJ.

  4. Where is my title??

I paid off my mobile home march of 2022. Please tell me why I still haven’t received my title. The manager told me that Fed Ex dropped it off three weeks ago and I still can’t get a hold of anybody to get it. I don’t understand why all communication between me and Brittany stopped. Very unprofessional and not good business conduct on her part.

  5. Rude.. Difficult and Vindicated

Valley Brook in Stone Mtn Ga Yes Communities i

Unable to pay every bill on time right now, I have never ever been late paying any bills. Now Valley Brook have charged me $275.00 that I cannot pay and Refused to accept March payment until the April payment and fees are paid together. This is THE BEST I CAN DO AT THIS TIME ON A FIXED INCOME MONTHLY, any ASSISTANCE WILL HELP AND BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

***** After 6 months with NEW OFFICE MANAGER HAVING A TANTRUM OVER THESE PROMISES MADE BEFORE HER TIME, ONLY CHECKS AND BALANCES MATTER ONLY**

  6. She is the ONLY management who has taken an active part in helping us.

We have lived at Falcon Farms in Port Byron, IL for over 3 years. A short while into our rental agreement we filed safety concerns with management, we were told that corrective measures would be taken in regards to the property lot our home is on.

Prior to purchasing our home, (2 years ago this year) we vocalized our concerns yet again with a new manager. These concerns were listed in agreement to purchasing our home.

Since living here, we have gone through 4 managers, filed the same safety issues with each of them, and still nothing has been done. Our property is a danger to the 3 young children we have as well as to any person(s) who walks on our sidewalk. The property land is also causing damage to the home itself. We will be forced to take legal action if the issue is not resolved soon.

However- I will state, The new manager of Falcon Farms property, Jessica, has read our file, listen to our concerns, taken the time to see the issues in person, and is currently working with us to come up with a plan of action. She is the ONLY management who has taken an active part in helping us.

  7. The pool was closed for 3 weeks this summer.

I do not live in a Yes Community anymore but I do have family members that do. The El Mirage, AZ community is a joke. The community manager is more like a jail warden than a property manager. This is a housing community not a group home. Your lame attempts at doing things for the residents are ridiculous and not needed.

The pool was closed for 3 weeks this summer. That is unacceptable. Your Gold Key Service is another joke. You do not follow any kind of pattern. You send notices whenever you choose to inspect even if a month hasn’t passed. That is intrusive and not needed.

You go into peoples homes when they arent home…again, unacceptable. You claim to be pet friendly…no you are not. You discrimate against certain breeds and you want all kinds of info on the pets. Are you people serious? Do yourself a favor and stay away from any housing community owned by yes communities. You will have no privacy from the employees.

  8. As much as we love the people, DO NOT BUY!

So we’ve lived in the Village Oaks community in Midwest City, OK for almost 4 years. It’s quiet and we have great neighbors and even thought they change them WAY to often we LOVE the staff. As a community it’s great. However, once you get passed that it’s not so wonderful. After a year we were offered a chance to buy our home.

As the one we were in was WAY to small to consider buying they offered us another one. All appearances looked great! We loved it instantly and were shown a document stating everything was up to par. We bought in April and 2 months later the heating and AC went out. We were promised over and over they would fix it…

That was 2 years ago and we’re still using window unit we’re now being told we can’t have because it’s not pretty.. 4 months after we bought the flooring started ripping up and then the subflooring started falling through. 8 months in we had to get a new water heater and replace all the sub floors and walls our hall and bedroom.

As much as we love the people, DO NOT BUY! I’m angery we’re constantly being lied to and wrote off. I’m mad we’re stuck with this fall apart home for 10 years… Corporate DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU ONLY YOUR MONEY! They’ve made that very clear. I’ve contacted them every month for 2 years and no one EVER calls back. All I can do now is warn others.
