Windermere Real Estate

Pretty Much Worthless

Russ Katz and his assistant Veronica are pretty much worthless to a seller. They care very little about you and your home.

We had to run our own open house for about an hour when we had plans made to get out of their way.

Which cost us money in the end and a loss of our event that was planned. And this was minor compared to the whole nightmarish ordeal we were put through by these two.

Russ asked us if we ever sold a house before and we told him, “no”. We were under the impression that the ‘Number 1 Windermere Realtor’ for the past 5 yrs.(he was more than happy to show us the 69 million he made Windermere over the past 5 yrs.) would be able to guide us through the whole process.

This was not the case. When I asked, “How long do we get before we need to get out of here?”
He replied,”Usually 30-45 days after the contract is signed.”

Well, there are at least 3 contracts signed during the sales process. we thought, because we weren’t told otherwise, that it was the ‘Closing’ contract which was the last one we signed.

The closing date was on the 11th. we thought we had at least 2 more weeks until the 1st of the month to get out.

Russ shows up exactly 1 week before the 11th and says, “Oh, you have to be out of here in a week.”

His belittling explanation was, ‘you can’t sell a car or bicycle and keep riding it for a couple weeks’. This was the wrong explanation.

We had to sell the house so we could move to Florida and help our mother and father because mom is coming down with Alzheimer’s disease.

We had flights made for the 1st which we had to eat, we needed non-stop flights because were taking our 2 cats, who have never flown before.

These tickets were very expensive due to the fact we needed them in a week.

We needed to sell all our belongings and both our cars and pack what was left in a 7’x6.5’x8′ POD and ship that out to Florida, in ONE WEEK!

The stress level was high for a very long time. And all Russ could say was, “I’m sorry.

I guess this is a learning experience for me too.” I am sorry, but The 69 Million dollar man should know better. he knew at the beginning that we’ve never sold a house before.

He should of held our hand through the whole thing. No, you know what he did? He went on vacation during most of the closing period, shows up a week before closing to tell us our assumption of property turn over was wrong, we have 1 week to get out and he learned from this as well.

A lesson at our expense. He still got his 3 points/commission no sweat off his wallet or stress level.

I’m not a big. Think I may have done this once before, when my fiance’s Iphone was stolen by the wait staff at a capitol hill restaurant, but here’s the clincher.

Russ wanted our forwarding address to send us a gift. I guess to help make up for the ‘ball dropping’ on his part.

Well yesterday we get a card from Russ and Windermere stating,

“The Windermere Foundation gratefully acknowledges a donation in your name by Russ Katz to benefit the homeless in our neighborhood.

Russ’s ongoing commitment in serving his clients and community is greatly appreciated by us all.”

Christine Wood
Executive Director of the Windermere Foundation.

This was such a form letter that it says ,”in your name” doesn’t even have our name on it. Has Russ’s name and he’s greatly appreciated.

Well good for you Russ. You saved face in the eyes of your executives. Doesn’t say how much was donated in our name.

And the final fact is… How many homeless are in Magnolia? Thank you Russ Katz for the continuing slap in our faces. Whatever helps you sleep at night, you putz.

  2. It was a terrible experience

We have a Korean real estate agent from Windermere who bought a townhouse from her. We have three rental houses we take care of. My wife and I decided to give it to a real estate agent, and we offered it to her. Somehow, my wife met her.

She showed a house at mount lake terrace, and she told me she has one place in the District and one Federal way under repairing, and she is short of $160000’ She said she just the money just one to months and will pay back within two months. She said she would pay 4’/interest.

We took all our CDs and lent her. She did not pay back after two months. After two we were so happy to get the money back. We went to her house, and she said. She has no money at all. We became speechless and shocked after calling and begging continuously to pay back our money.

She is Windermere real estate agent, a Korean woman. She l tricked us by short-term real estate investment and took our life savings. After pushing so hard, she paid around sixty thousand, but still, she has to pay us ninety-one thousand, and we are begging her repeatedly to spend our life savings. So sad.

My wife and I have to endure suffering with Windermere real estate agent Korean woman named Soo. Paik. She took our life savings under the disguise of Short term real estate investment. It was a terrible experience I had never experienced in my life.
