their intake process than their services, because unfortunately I never had the pleasure of actually scheduling an appointment. While the online appointment process worked well, it was the interaction with the reception/intake desk that gave me pause. They did respond to my online inquiry within a day, which was great. The trouble began when I called back to complete their 20 minute over the phone intake process.
First, I called and she couldn’t conduct it at the moment as they had another one scheduled. Fine, so we decided to connect in an hour. An hour comes and goes, so when I call back, she actually scoffed at me over the phone and explained her other call ran long. That’s all normal life stuff, but I guess I didn’t appreciate the attitude she had towards a follow up.
Second,we then schedule time to do the intake the next day. Little late on the call with a bit of an attitude, so decided not to move forward. I figure if I’m not comfortable with the first interaction over the phone, I won’t feel super comfortable stepping into the office.
So, I’m sure the counselors are fantastic, but I guess you only find out if you make it through the gauntlet that is the intake process.
