Avoid. I had my first appt on Jan 14 & finally picked up my contacts this past Tuesday 3/17, 2 months later. I went in to update my prescriptions & completely regret it. On my first visit, the doctor was completely uninterested and dismissive when I told her my vision was still blurry. She prescribed me VisionWorks’ brand of contacts AquaTech (claiming this was all my insurance would cover) & that I was to come in the following week for a follow up.

When I went for my follow up I had a different doctor, I explained to her how my vision was still blurry and that the brand of contacts felt scratchy on my eye. She then told me the previous Dr had given me contacts that would not treat my astigmatism (something Dr. #1 did not even mention!!) I was given Acuvue Oasys to try and had to follow up a week later- one weeks turned to 3 due to snow/work.

I finally get back in and need to start my week trial over again (these are weekly’s & my time was more than up) while I was there (it was a Saturday) I ordered the Acuvue Oasys so they’d be ready for pick up during my follow up on Friday. Friday comes and I get my follow up (they will not release contacts until you have a follow up) and they inform me my contacts have still not arrived. I was told they would call me when they did arrive.

A week passes and nothing. Finally on Tuesday evening I call and explain I’ve been waiting for contacts that were ordered 2 weeks ago. They call me back and miraculously they had “just arrived!” …. Right.

The worst part is when I went in for my (2nd) follow up one of the front desk girls was in a screaming match with a patient. I recorded a video Bc I could not believe it was really happening..

Honestly – SLOW & no customer service skills (besides the one Hispanic male, I think his name is Josh) everyone else is rude & clearly have no follow up skills. The 1st Dr rushed me and didn’t even prescribe me correctly. Btw my insurance did cover the Acuvue Oasys! I am totally turned off by this place as are many of the reviewers!

  1. Frustrated

    I rarely ever right reviews, but this is a doozy. I get my eye exam and order glasses. A week later I get an email that they are ready for pickup and to go online and make an appointment. I go on-line and the only type of appointment you can make is for a new eye exam. I call that office number and a recording says to hold while they find an associate. It immediately hangs up. I call the 800 number and put on hold for ever. I try one of the automated chats at there website which tells me someone will call to discuss this problem. Guess what, no call. Finally I send an email to the head office and still no response. Funny, they had no problem charging me the $400+ dollars while I was there.

  2. grab business even if they have to compromise on the ethics they don't care.

    As per my experience, they are not professional at all. They say any lie to get the business. They lied that they are part of VSP insurance whereas they are out of network and all benefits are not available here. They only told me about it when the exam was done and I already paid for it and it came to selection of glasses.

    I had to compromise a lot to adjust to out of network restrictions. After 2 weeks of placing order, glasses are yet not made. Staff is rude and mean. They are commercial shop not professionals, to grab business even if they have to compromise on the ethics they don’t care.

  3. I will not be returning.

    If I could give them 0 stars I would. I have an astigmatism and need a particular prescription. The machine used to measure my prescription took 4 tries to read my eyes, and upon completion gave a prescription for someone without an astigmatism and over three times the strength needed.

    The Doctor refused to listen to me and try going weaker or stronger from my current lenses. She insisted that I have a rare eye disease and couldn’t see well. I went to another doctor for a second opinion and I do not have a rare eye disease. I will not be returning.

  4. I would recommend Visionworks to family and friends.

    I enjoyed my experience at Visionworks. My appointment for an exam, contacts, and glasses started on time. Staff was very welcoming. Short waiting period. My exam with George, before seeing the doctor, was a pleasant, friendly, and a relaxing experience.

    Dr. Jones was also very friendly and professional. She was very helpful in providing me information about my eyes. I’d like to thank Dr. Jones for helping me greatly for improving my vision along with learning from her explanations. George was very helpful with finding the right lenses for me along with handling my contact lens order.

    My one week follow up with Dr. Jones went smoothly as I expected. All good! My contacts and new glasses were ready for me but, I should have had the opportunity to get my frames fitted there to ensure a proper fit. It’s alright though. I used my heat gun to fit and adjust them to them myself. It was meant to be! After my experience, I would recommend Visionworks to family and friends.

  5. This is the most disorganized place!

    This is the most disorganized place! I don’t how this office survives. The employees do not know how to schedule effectively and they also do not know how to handle insurance.

    They re-scheduled me 2 times for a standard eye exam and then when I finally came in they tried to re-schedule me again for a third time, because it was a holiday(insurance was closed) and they hadn’t verified the insurance yet. This should have been done the day before you would think.
