Urban Nest Realty

Terrible Realtor

I contacted Urban Nest Realty a few weeks ago after I learned that my husband and I needed to relocate quickly for his new job.

I related some of our circumstances to Kim (two small pets and a satisfied eviction from many years ago) in the hopes she could assist us in finding a place to buy or rent.

Her response was a prompt “sorry, but an eviction is a deal breaker. Good luck.”

Joke’s on her: we not only found the perfect place to rent, but took our business to professionals who are more polite and less lazy and are now in our due diligence for a house we’re going to put an offer in on next week.

My advice to Urban Nest: just because a client might have a couple of challenging circumstances doesn’t mean that money is an issue.

Thank heavens that our hard earned money was never given to her.

Summary: terrible realtor.

  1. I would love to work with her again would we ever have the need.

My partner and I loved working with her. Super available, advocates for you, makes sure you are getting a good deal, and goes above and beyond to ensure you are happy in your new home. I would love to work with her again would we ever have the need.

Our home buying experience was quite stressful due to the sellers, and Rachel was there to organize services to deal with the unexpected and ensure things were moving along during the process.

  2. I couldn't be happier.

I cannot say enough good things about Melissa and her team at Arrive Portland -Urban Nest! I recently moved to Portland from NYC. I was unfamiliar with Portland neighborhoods and only able to visit once for a few days, but they helped me find a lovely rental house, in a fabulous neighborhood, with the right lease-start date, that was within my budget!

I had a few strikes against me as a prospective tenant to someone who did not know me (out-of-state, three pets, a moving date that kept changing, and no job!) but Arrive Portland worked with me to put together a renter’s portfolio, and they were in my corner to explain to property managers why I would in fact be a good tenant.

Melissa is an excellent communicator, and was clear and upfront from the beginning about the process of working together. I sent her listings of properties that I liked and she grasped quickly what my priorities were, so I felt comfortable entrusting her with my search. On my quick scouting trip to Portland, I was welcomed by the whole Arrive Portland team, was given great advice about neighborhoods and properties, and shown some lovely homes.

I fell in love with a particular house, and they helped bring my application to the attention of the property manager – and I got it! It was such a relief to have a rental set up before I closed on my house in NY, and now that I’m here, I couldn’t be happier.

  3. We felt like we were the victims in some cruel game.

I will not give them any stars. If you are selling your home and a realtor from this company comes with a client. Run don’t walk! They are dishonest and disreputable this was our perception. We lost three positive buyers to our home because of the dishonesty and deceit we felt of not only the agent Jessica burnt, but also the buyers.

We have lost our home in Florida because of this agent and her buyers. I repeat run don’t walk if you are selling your home and one of these realtor’s approach you with a buyer. We felt like we were the victims in some cruel game.
