Trailhead Credit Union

Avoid Trailhead Credit Union

Trailhead Credit Union was ok before they opened their Mississippi branch.

They put random holds on my accounts making it difficult to do business at times, especially with shared banking.

The manager, Jessica, said she would/could remove the hold but didn’t.

She was upset that I was frustrated about not being able to use shared banking.

After I closed my account they decided not to send the check they promised, with my remaining monies.

I had to call two weeks later to remind them.

I never had a negative balance in the 3 years I was there, nor did I ever overdraft.

Still they chose to treat me like a robber. Avoid Trailhead Credit Union.

Also, you can be sure that they cater to the up and coming cream of the crop in gentrified Mississippi.

If you think you are supporting Portland institutions by using this bank think again.

  1. Love having the Division Street location.

Trailhead Credit Union is great! We have banked there for more than 40 years and the service, staff and on line banking makes banking a pleasure. Love having the Division Street location.

  2. Trailhead CU is a superb cure for the Big Bank Blues!

Trailhead CU is a superb cure for the Big Bank Blues! After years of being ripped off in innumerable ways by one of the huge cartels, I finally moved all my banking business to Trailhead and I could not be happier. Friendly personal service and no hidden fees, relentless sales pitches or impenetrable small print.

  3. They also could never tell me when the hold was placed.

After I left the branch is when I talked to manager Jessica. It was the end of her day (and mine of working construction). and she had a few choice words about my credit score, about my attitude, about “being on my side”. I told her I was going downtown to speak with someone I was familiar with and she had to know who.

I told her who and she didn’t know the person, I know that person has been there for years. Anyway, what if I had needed to make a large withdrawal larger than what I could get in the ATM? I would have been fucked, for no reason.

I had poor credit when I opened the account, but after a time one of the downtown managers removed all holds. Holds like having to wait for a cash deposit to clear, because you know, I might be trying to kite checks off my 300 balance.

I was also told I had to wait for physical deposits of cash to clear (?), but supposedly they were removed years ago. When I went out of town, 3 years after opening the account, long after all holds had been lifted. I went into the bank just to make sure I could utilize ‘shared banking” when I was on the East Coast on business.

I was assured that I could use any bank or ATM. Everything went fine and when I returned I banked in the usual way.
