Town & Country Movers

what a difference individual crew members can make.

The move team leader, Renee Ruiz, was rude from the moment his team arrived. He refused to listen to how several furniture pieces needed to be disassembled and reassembled by using a power screwdriver instead of a manual one that stripped the heads of all screws, which ultimately had to be re-manufactured by hand. (Screws on other pieces were also stripped.) A second team that picked up this damaged furniture a week later damaged it further because, once again, they refused to listen to my instruction and broke the wooden panels in 2 places. It took 3 months to have the furniture repaired because the repair company I was required to use also didn’t bother to understand what was needed. Further, I was given conflicting instructions on how to prepare dressers for moving and was told I was holding up the move when they insisted I empty the drawers that I’d initially been told could remain full. I felt like a hostage throughout this move because these men refused to take direction from a woman! This company was recommended to me but I will go out of my way to let others know what a difference individual crew members can make.

  1. This was my second move with town & country of Gaithesburg & this co is second to none.
Today our incharge person was Manuel Dwarte with 3 other folks & I can not admire enough than watch their packing of very expensive items.
Also our estimator BLAIR was excellent.
Also this co has all help in house.
Just our thanks to Town & country staff.

  2. Do not use this company.

My advise to anyone looking for a smooth process without damage to your personal belongings – Do not use this company. They arrived an hour late which caused us to go over our reserved elevator time.

Then they damaged several items including our wood kitchen table, which was dropped and shattered. After submitting a claim, they offered me $25 for a kitchen table.

  3. We had a horrible experience with Town & Country.

We had a horrible experience with Town & Country. We moved from Maryland to Florida and had an “unload date” of the 24th down in our new home in Florida. The 24th came and went with nobody showing up. When I called the contact number I had for Town & Country, the response I got from Brian the manager was one of annoyance and told me “I’m still in bed, I don’t know what to tell you” Not exactly what you want to hear when you now have to plan for an extra night of lodging, logistics, children, etc.

  4. Keep up the good work!

I have used Town & Country Movers to help me move from Virginia to California, and i have to say it was the best decision that I have made. I recommend that if anyone uses this moving company, ask for Joaquin Lopez and Juan Orellana. They make the stress and complications of moving cross-country easy as 1-2-3. Great job Town & Country Movers!! Keep up the good work!
